Here's a pretty good representation on how it will go:

This is as relevant as the OU win against Bama in 2013. Both programs literally have different coaches, and thankfully we have a defense now.

I wonder what ever happened to the guy with the NC ring hat who used to show up at media days in Birmingham.

Welcome to the SEC.

Bama fans have experienced collective amnesia when it comes to the 2013 Sugar Bowl and given what they spent on therapy is best to not remind them.
When it comes to prognosticating the future, it is merely an opinion and those are like a certain body part, everybody has one and they all stink sometime.

No one has forgotten that game. That was Derrick Henry's coming out party. I do find it amazing that OU plays their best football in bowl games that have no title implications. When it's for a championship or even a playoff game, they don't look even half as motivated.

He had a Great game. I couldn't believe it when Bama didn't hand it off to him more than what they did. Henry was hard to stop.

I think it has more to do with the other team.
OU to me seems equally motivated in the playoffs as they were in non-playoff bowl games. The difference is that much of the time their opponent wasn't.
Bama in 2013 went from thinking NC all season to losing to Auburn in their last game and not being in the mix. I think the result in that game was more about Bama not showing up rather than OU showing up more than normal. Particularly the Bama defense.

Rule number 1 on the SEC rant: Never kiss up to the gumps. They are almost as insecure as LSU fans when not winning and deserve the worst in every way possible. If Bama never won another game ever again that would still be too many.

Not kissing up just stating a fact. I was glad Henry wasn't getting the ball on every down.

It's going to be fun finally getting to be in the mix with a lot of teams I like to watch on Saturdays and then playing them.

They gave their best effort in the playoff era vs UGA, but they had some stinkers before that against Clemson and then Bama. It's just wild how they give it their A+ effort in those meaningless bowl games against usually overmatched teams.

There's really no question this was the case, but Bama fans aren't allowed to say this.
I do remember watching a local New Orleans news station prior to the game, and they showed AJ Mccarron throwing the ball around in practice shorts and a shirt, and he had a huge gut compared to how he looked in the Iron Bowl/regular season. It's pretty clear who wanted that game more.

They found the only Gump that actually traveled to Texas for this.

It is hilarious.
Before the game it was...
"Boy Bama is gonna be pissed and take out all their frustrations on poor 'ole Oklahoma."
Then Bama goes down the field and scores right off the bat and it was "told you so...Bama's gonna rout Oklahoma".
Then after OU won it was all
"Bama didn't wanna be there".

The best thing about being in the sec now, when OU loses a game everybody will just say we didn’t want to be there. I can’t wait

You do have to admit that a whole lot has happened in the last 11 years. I am not even exactly sure how many SEC and National Championships Alabama has won since then. I had forgotten about that game until this thread.
