Are USM fans weird ?
It’s Day 11 on 30a, I’m minding my own business and this Southern Miss baw told me to take my hat off and he’s tired of seeing it.
I’m like, excuse me chief, who are you?
Then USM baw is like oh I’m just kidding, I’m a southern Miss fan but congrats.
I responded and said thanks man, totally forgot the BaseVols eliminated you guise again this past year.
Did he really think that I would acknowledge his peasant program?

I’ve met maybe one Southern Miss fan in my life. Pretty normal convo about Mississippi, and they do love their baseball like us and State. Everyone I’ve met from Hattiesburg have been good peeps.

USM has been D1 for a long time. Unusual for a teacher's college. And they have a fairly large following for a school like they are.
Their students are basically the same kind of people that go to places like UT Martin or Tennessee Tech in Tennessee Tech in Tennessee, Troy or Jacksonville in Alabama. And I guess part of their appeal is that they have a geographical portion of the state kind of to themselves.
Those guys had some darn good football teams in the '80s.
