I don’t recall much, if any, investigation into his death. Didn’t he die at someone’s hunting camp???
Edit: If I remember correctly, the coroner declared him dead from natural causes without ever seeing his body or the site where he died. I don’t think there was an autopsy.

The drug companies get the doctors in line early, in medical school, by sponsoring educational programs like grand rounds. They are trained to prescribe a pill first line instead of recommending lifestyle modifications.
They base the categories on the size of a schools’s student body and then the number of kids on the squad. A school with 650 kids and a squad of 18 can’t be expected to compete with a school with an enrollment of 1800 and a 30 member cheer squad.
There is a thread on the first page of this forum that you really need to check out. It has a very interesting graph depicting literacy rates in the US.

As the result of the 1970’s civil rights Ayer’s case all 4 year public Mississippi universities have the same acceptance criteria. If you can almost walk upright and sign your name, you’re in.
State has a lot of smart kids from out of state applying for the Engineering and Meteorology programs and it gets somewhat competitive. Conversely, OM has a bunch of dumb rich kid out of state applicants who couldn’t get into their own state schools.
Despite recent woes, Millsaps, my Alma mater, maintains a less than 60% acceptance rate. Go Majors!!

Yall both described my Grandparent’s house. We froze in the winter and burned up in the summer. In the summer my grandparents wouldn’t run the window units at night bc they couldn’t hear if anyone was breaking in. Please, the only thing breaking into that house was a rabid squirrel.
I have the best memories in that house.
That aside, sitting here in Jackson with light rain above freezing. Will wake up to freezing rain.
I don’t have much faith in Jackson water, so I’m sure Ill be bailing water from the tub to flush toilets.
