Shooters shoot! But they also miss. Vitello will retire at Tennessee and win more national titles. He has #1 class coming in and has already been in contact with Jace LaViolette as well. Expect Tennessee to reload with its new stadium next year.

Fake news…hitting coach was always #1 choice.

Had to try. He’s a great coach.

Happy to hire an up and comer and keep our roster intact.

Reporting on our side seems like he is the only other guy we made a serious run at.

Agree with KR, they should’ve gotten Vaughn.

Shame on them. What about the unwritten rule where you don’t take other coaches from within the conference.

A&M joins the list that includes Texas and LSU of teams turned down by Tony V. For a coach that is so hated other teams sure do try to hire him.

I would have liked Vaughn or Heefner. Didn’t work out

How much you want to bet he doesn’t end his career at Tennessee? Ban bet?

Wrong. Tony V. was never offered a job by LSU.

Then LSU is stupid. He’s the best coach in college baseball

Sure. And the hitting coach was A&M’s first choice.

They absolutely had to take that shot. I’m glad to hear it.

But Vitello is all but immovable, and that’s great for baseball, and especially for Tennessee baseball. It’s refreshing to see, and I have zero issue with it.

Saban came from LSU. Stop. No one thinks that.

Of course Rogers gonna act like Vitello was flirting since he was after all Aggies recruits
Surprised he didn’t throw Jay Johnson in the mix

No. He didn't. Saban came to Alabama from the Dolphins.
