The guy didn't just say "no, I'm staying here" like Saban did. He berated and belittled the reporter for asking, then said he left his family to take this job to basically die at it, while he "poured every ounce of his soul into this job." Then signing off with "write that" is like when Hugh Freeze gave someone the link to report Ole Miss infractions. That's some abnormally hard doubling-down for a guy who took the Texas job hours later.
That's as bad as Petrino leaving under the cover of night and putting a note in the locker room. I'd be pissed, too.
