Since 2006, Georgia and Auburn have played 19 times.

Georgia has won 16 of those games.
In Auburn's 3 wins, they were ranked in the Top 10 every time.
Georgia has also defeated 4 Auburn teams while the Tigers were ranked in the Top 10. Two of those 4 wins over Top 10 Auburn teams were by unranked Georgia teams.
In 9 of those 16 Georgia wins, Auburn has been held to 10 points or less.
Auburn has not defeated Georgia in the state of Georgia during that time (0-8 in Athens, 0-1 in Atlanta).
In summary:

This rivalry is pretty cyclical. Kirby has it rolling now, but I bet you'll see some very competitive DSOR's in the next few years.

I think it was 2006 when top 5 Auburn got blown out at home by 5-4 UGA. Which saved the BCS from choosing between 12-1 UF and 11-1 Auburn (who beat UF).

Very few Georgia games have ever shocked me more than this one. That was a terrible Georgia team (to that point, anyways; they had a great final 3 game finish to that season) coming off a loss at Kentucky who went on the road and absolutely shellacked a top 5 Auburn team. That performance came out of nowhere.

Auburn's QB had as many completions to UGA players as he did his own team.

Closest I remember was beating tech in 2009 or 2010 where we came in 6-5 and they were ranked #7. That was a much tighter game though and tech almost came back. Great wins both of them

That was the year I took my youngest to her first game in Athens. Homecoming against Vandy. We lost. I then went to Jax to watch us fumble the game away against UF. I had no expectation that we would win another game the rest of the season. Then Auburn happened.

It's crazy how we have dominated the series in that time frame. It reminds me of when Florida was dominating us. Sometimes a team just can't get a break. But...it usually turns the corner sooner or later.

Always wondered how that would have gone down. Today I think the conference title would have won out but back then the SEC was just about to start its dominance and the SEC title didn't have the clout it has today. Still think Florida would have gotten the nod.

AU has had a run of bad luck stemming from poor coaching, lack luster recruiting etc. We had two consecutive coaches who completely disregarded the OL entirely. All this occurred while UA and then UGA began lapping the field. DSOR has always hovered around .500 up until the timeframe you’ve referenced.
Not sure when/if we get back to even with those two, but I hope 2024 brings about a program we all can get behind. The last several years have been rough for us.
I think that damn Soulja boy game is when it all started. I found myself sitting on the 50 in Samford with a bunch of my uga fans in complete disbelief. Turns out that feeling would repeat itself many more times over the coming years.

As far as coaching goes, you got who you got because that’s who you could attract. A top tier coach isn’t going to Auburn.

Yep. That's why Gus lost his job in the end.
Hopefully Freeze can at least get us somewhat competitive again.

Auburn does indeed suck. Now do your record with Alabama over that time frame, picking on Auburn is easy.

You do know the school of your fandom had a run of bad hires, yes? One didn’t even manage to coach a game. Now you have a guy from out west. While it may not play out as bad the one AU had, you simply never know.
Thanks for your input, though.

Yes, and Auburn couldn’t get “Husky Harsin.”
They are stuck with Preacher Prostie, a man with a past.
