Jeff Long was probably the worst I've seen. How that guy managed to convince a series of major programs to hire him will always baffle me.

If South Carolina can win a championship in any sports, then I say no. Look at some of the other schools that have had zero championships in a very long time. I wouldn't be upset with what South Carolina has accomplished so far.

South Carolina could so much better. I just don't see how this works out with a guy that already got burnt out on SEC baseball at a younger age

Compared to who we had a realistic shot at, this is not a bad hire at all. Especially if Monte stays on. Which looks increasingly likely.
