Honestly, and I could be wrong, but it seemed like he really slumped in the last 1/3 of the season.

My thoughts exactly.
He hasn’t really been a “world beater” past 5 weeks.
In the grand scheme of things, we are a top 10 team without him, and a top 3 team with him.
We will probably still go to Omaha and win one.
And if the pitching shows up, we could make the semi final.
Waiting for Jace to stop swinging at stupid shite.

Yeah if he’s 20% as good as his dad, we will be fine.

I ran the numbers. Since the beginning of May, Monty was 14 for 66 (.212).
Haven’t looked at Kent, but can’t be much worse.

Kent is a good replacement, but losing Montgomery hurts. Somebody else will have to step up

Different positions. Kent plays the same position as Targac and Chestnut (2B).

Yes, but if Braden hadn’t transferred, Kent would start at 2nd, Chesnut would be in center, and Jace in right.

I just figured out the kid is from my home town and won a state Championship his Senior year. Hunter Hines from State was on that team. I kind of remember a kid signing with Stanford out of that class.
