How are yall feeling? As a neutral bystander I sit here and see ole Miss getting all the hype but I think Mizzou has huge potential for CFP.
Huge opportunities vs OU and A&M to establish the pecking order and let everyone know Mizzou is a legit program now.
Realistically the SEC has 4 slots in the CFP and I don’t see why Mizzou can’t be one of them.

Really, really good.
They should be alright until they travel to Alabama in late October.
Definitely a playoff threat.

Maybe. But getting to the top 4 this season is going to be a monumental achievement.
I got BAMA, Georgia, and Texas in. Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Missouri are pretty much in a dead heat for number 4. Oklahoma and LSU will be outside of those 6 contenders.

This may be the best matchup for us against Bama since we entered the conference. You have a new coach. We return virtually all the offense and relaxed Shredder with two different styles of stud RBs and a deep as hell WR corps.
Should be a close game well into the fourth at least.

Should go 10-2 with a shot at going 11-1.
Therefore, I'm expecting 9-3 because Mizzou.

Two of their three main games are on the road. If they can win at A&M and split with OU/Bama I don’t see why 10-2 isn’t possible.
They really got a generous schedule this time. 4-0 is almost automatic. If you drop that Boston college game you’re in big trouble.

I'm still trying to decide who has the easiest schedule in the SEC. It's down to Missouri and Ole Miss. I would give the push to Mizzou. Florida needs to sue Sankey and the SEC for that abomination of a schedule in comparison.
Seriously, does the SEC office even proofread these schedules for SOS and bye weeks of opponents? And Florida has to eat this for 2 seasons?

I think someone at Florida gave Sankey’s wife herpes.

Our offensive line and skill players are top 3 units in the SEC. Luther Burden is a killer, but we have 3 more likely draft picks at receiver beside him.
Our greatest Mizzou teams who each threatened to make the national championship games had Maclin and DGB with a great supporting cast.
It is hard to see 1 loss not coming @ A&M or Bama. But again, this team punched Georgia and Ohio State in the mouth last year.
If we can get by A&M and be 7-0 headed into Tuscaloosa we will be on an 11 game win streak that includes Florida, Ohio State, & Tennessee.
That’s not going to be a team afraid of a non-Saban Bama. IF they win that this team is going to pee confidence.

Murray State: W
Buffalo: W
Boston College: W
Vanderbilt: W
@Texas A&M: L
@UMass: W (why the hell are we playing at UMass?)
Auburn: W
@Alabama: L
Oklahoma: W
@South Carolina ? (this game will be a shitshow that comes down to the final play, as is tradition)
@Mississippi State: W
Arkansas: W
I think 10-2 or 9-3. Historically, Mizzou has not lived up to any measure of hype. Hopefully this team is different.

Not gonna lie, I thought Mizzou was fool’s gold last year until they played Georgia in Athens.
They played Georgia as close as anyone did in between the hedges. I was very impressed how physical and gritty they were as well as having very good talent at the skill positions. I honestly don’t see them going away. Drinkwitz isn’t the most amicable guy but he’s seemed to figure out something in Columbia.

I can see anywhere from 8-4 to 11-1. Depending on how it shakes out 10-2 is going to be in a position for the playoff, but the schedule is going to hold us back IMO.
Toughest non-con is home vs BC.
Toughest road games are A&M and Alabama.
Toughest home games are oU and Auburn.
Arkansas and Vandy at Home, Miss St and South Carolina on the Road.
Things that worry me as a fan:
New DC. While I think Batoon will be good, its just a change that could impact the team.
DL/LB/CB replacements. There is a ton of talent that left and a ton of talent that came in/waiting on the depth chart. Mizzou had a ton of experience last year on defense. I do think some are going to be surprised how good our S room is going to be, and I think are CB are going to be good enough. DL worries me in just overall depth, but Mizzou has some dudes there. LB should be fine but brought in 2 transfers to compete.
Team Leadership. Cook is still back and others will step up to more leadership roles, but Mizzou had Schrader and Robinson really lead by example that is going to be tough to replace. The culture of the program will hopefully make this a non issue.

Texas has a pretty damn easy schedule. The only tough game they have is vs Georgia. How is ole Miss’ schedule easy? They have LSU, OU and Georgia. That’s not easy at all. Texas dodged all the big boys aside from Georgia.
Nobody forced Florida to schedule UCF and Miami on top of already playing FSU annually. That’s not the SEC’s fault. That’s Florida’s fault. You’re supposed to do either Miami or UCF not both the same year. You rotate the two. They made their bed. They think they’re so much superior to UCF they’re about to find out.

Correct.

I got BAMA
Saban retired and Bama has no QB. No chance whatsoever to go as high as you said. Unfortunately we have to listen to your delusions until September.

Georgia
Definitely.

Probably

All depends on LSU’s defense, but I can’t imagine it not being vastly improved. Nuss is also great (especially when you compare him to someone like Milroe) and it’s physically impossible to not improve the defense from last year. I would say Ole Miss / Missouri / Tennessee / LSU are fighting for the 4th spot, possibly Bama if they get a few freebies from guys like Koy Moore or Jordan Travis again. Don’t see it happening with Milroe, but that won’t stop the delusional Bammers from wasting all their free hours from their America Online CD’s posting about it.

I think Mizzou has a shot at this game. Yep big hurdles but I think it's doable.

You’re saying he’s delusional. You’re saying Nuss who hasn’t started a single SEC game is better than a guy who navigated his team to a SEC title and CFP. Did you forget Milroe’s performance down the stretch? He improved a lot in November and not to mention he now has Debore who has a track record of developing QBs.
Im pro LSU all day but dude get real. Nuss could be great or could be Myles Brennan 2.0 let’s wait and see

It's a very favorable schedule...especially catching Oklahoma at home a week after a bye. Bama and Oklahoma are the only two games I could see where Missouri shouldn't be the favorite by a long shot.

Missouri has 3 potentially difficult games: aTm, Bama, and Oklahoma. They have bye weeks before 2 of them (aTm and Oklahoma). I could see Missouri winning 2, but not all 3...I could see them losing 2, but not all 3.
