Vitello’s record against LSU since 2021. Pretty impressive when you think about where Tennessee baseball was in 2018 compared to LSU when Vitello took over a dead program in Knoxville. Just goes to show that Vitello will beat LSU more times than not as long as he is a HC for the foreseeable future.

Vitello could go 23-4 against LSU and still wont have a national championship and LSU will probably have a 2nd one in that same time frame.

If it wasnt for LSU, Vitello's CWS record wouldnt be THAT embarrassing at 1-2.

All you forget that he’s only been coaching for 6 years. It took Johnson 12 years to get his first title, took Skip Bertman like 10 years to get his 1st, took Bianco like 21 years and DVH still don’t have one.

You have to be ready to beat multiple sec teams to win a title these days

LSU had to beat uk Tenn and Fla last year so if you only want to measure Tenn against lsu then go ahead

Lsu shouldn’t be your measuring stick this season anyway, Tenn brought back way more then lsu did this season

And he can’t beat Dave. He got up in Dave’s face and Dave told him how the cow ate the cabbage. He don’t frick with him anymore.

We see repeatedly the missed pop fly, but what’s lost in all of this is we didn’t have any business being in that position to begin with. But coaching got us there and player mistake lost it. That’s not on Dave. No one thought we had a chance against that team but were an out away from winning it all. Anyone blaming Dave can kiss my freckled arse…

No one is striving to be Arkansas in Baseball. Only 1 SEC Tournament Championship in school history and 0 National Titles. LSU is the supposed Blue Blood baseball school in the SEC everyone is “supposedly” chasing since they are so “great”. Arkansas and regular season Dave nothing special.

Well, everyone is. You keep comparing Tennessee to LSU for a reason

So Vitello is basically a poor man’s DVH

Speaking of which that Arkansas team was like this year's LSU team which also goes to show getting hot at the right time makes all the difference in the world

Tony V is in his 7th year coaching and has one win in Omaha.

Jay Johnson won his natty in his 10th season at the Division I level, had a natty appearance in his 3rd.

Tony V is 6-4 vs Jay Johnson, 11-7 vs LSU overall. Home team usually wins.

Let's keep the narratives true.

But Tony can’t seem to beat LSU when it matters most.

Wrong! Vitello has more SEC Tournament Championships than Arkansas has in school history. He’s already passed DVH!

Good for them. They won it with a coach that took 12 years as a HC. Vitello is jsut now in his 6th year.
