If we could start a team by picking players from this era I’d bet that Laremy Tunsil would be one of the Top 5 picks.

McFadden played three seasons and had to be the QB in all three of those seasons.

Mark May said a sophomore winning the Heisman would be outrageous.

Tebow wins it the next year.

It's a shame that Nutt refused to get good quarterbacks on campus that would take pressure off the running game. He would have had an SEC title in 06, 07 or both years. Those teams were loaded and it was a big waste.

I would also add Eric Berry. Best corner at Tennessee in a long long time.

That’s why McFadden played qb so much, he threw to passes in several games. He was that offense. It’s a shame the snubs he got.

When he had that game against LSU to end the season and Arkansas won in double OT, where he had over 200 yards rushing and 3 TDs on the ground plus another passing, I thought he had won it.

Nothing against Tebow, who also had a great season.

It's probably the last time the top two finishers in the Heisman voting came from teams with less than 10 wins.

AJ McCarron abused Honey Badger in the Championship Game

You're right, everything he accomplished in his career shouldn't count because he gave up four 7 yard out-route first downs to Kevin Norwood

I don't think Mathieu belongs here either but you have to be mentally handicapped to think he was overrated.

You people in this thread clearly don’t remember Mathieu in 2011.

I think that is the problem because I do not remember him in the NC game. Remind me what he did again.

He was a highly recruited 5 star corner coming out of highschool so i made a typo because i still think of him that way and was on my third jar of homebrew so get overself ffs. Typos happen .He was a hell of a safety for us though and our best DB in a long time. Killed it in the NFL as well.

All hype
.he was garbage ..gambled on picks
.but teams ran his way and ran his little azz over.
Few turnovers out of what 70 defensive plays
.no wonder he is with his what 5th team

This is not the truth if you’re talking about Tyrann Mathieu at LSU. If you’re talking about Saints Tyrann Mathieu then I agree with you.

Im as LSU homer as anyone, McFadden should be above anyone not named Joe Burrow or Cam Newton.

Good to see Derrick Henry on there, he was pretty much Herschel Walker 2.0.

I don't remember him getting insane hype, but look at the stats, it's all there.
