DeBoer gets 3 years to win the SEC.
I think he needs to make the playoffs 1 to 2 of those years.

This is true in basketball, and maybe the expanded playoffs will make it a better football accomplishment too

Yep who cares if you did not win the SEC and finished 3rd but made it to the CFP semifinals
It makes you wonder how coaches will treat the sec championship game going forward.
Roy Williams UNC bbal coach said the ACC Tourney was a wine and cheese cocktail party. He wondered if it was good to win it or save legs for the NCAA.
The 12-16 team playoff will diminish the conference champ games since it will already pit two qualifiers against each other.

We do have high expectations, but we have also had more mediocre seasons in the last decade than people realize. So, just being in contention every couple of years is nice. I think he can chug along getting 10-11 wins without an sec title for a few seasons, I'll say maybe 5-6 more years. And honestly, an sec title appearance in year 1 and a Heisman win year 2 is great imo. But, if he starts winning 7-8-9 games a year the clock will be on. The playoff expansion will help, I expect us to be in the mix for that regularly. So realistically, I expect him to at least finish out the majority of his 10 yr contract.
Mizzou and Ole Miss. They may have a couple of good seasons, but if they keep it up, their coaches will move on to a bigger program where they have a chance to win a title.

The sec championship needs to go away. All it’s gonna do is punish the two teams who are in it with an extra difficult game before the playoffs.
Kelly has a couple more years in his honeymoon period. He will get a lot of credit for pulling LSU out of its worst spot in 25 years. After that there’s gonna have to be a scan on the wall in some form or another. There will also be a lot of hours to see how Bama performs. Because let’s be honest through history the fate of LSU’s coaches has ridden on how they perform against Bama.

So LSU has to give Kelly at least 5 I'd imagine, your guy is taking over a much better situation.
I agree with the others though, winning the SEC is just for bragging rights at this point.

They are going to have to find out a way to incentivize the conference champions. Only CC are seeded top 4-5 seeds and are played first rounds at home and following rounds closest to their home stadiums.

They do. The conference champions get a first-round bye. But how are college football fans going to feel the first time a 9-3 or 8-4 ACC or Big 12 conference champion gets the bye over a 10-2 or even an 11-1 SEC team? Hint: All hell breaks loose.

Do you mean the Eddie Robinson national "Coach of the Year" winner, Coach Kalen DeBoer? We heard he was in town.

I think most are being reasonable, but some do forget that Saban didn’t even win a natty the last 3 years.
We needed fresh blood as Saban’s shine was wearing off. He’s still the goat and we wouldn’t be where we are without him.

And he's already beat them both when they were ranked in the top 15. Bad troll attempt!

With the 12-team playoff, I would think either an SEC title or Final Four appearance would work, that being said, 2 years.
