Kelly says no to 2 DLs that were out shopping for a big payday. I thought the SEC rant would respect that we aren’t going to buy transfers.

I respect it. But not sure it's the formula for success in the NIL era. I hate what college football has become.

2 of our 9 starters are transfers this year, 1 being a complete liability on defense. I challenge you to find a team with less.
Last year was more of the same. Skenes and White were big transfer contributors.

Brian Kelly is taking a stand and making a statement. I just hope he takes it further and fields a team of nothing but walk-ons. Now that would be noble and brave.

NIL discipline is going to be a key part of team chemistry in the locker room, if that matters.
No way Texas was going to pay Damonic Williams what he wanted w/ 4 seniors, including 2 transfers, already on the roster. He was never going to be more than a rotational player.

He thought he could come in, establish a solid work ethic and create accountability to build a competitive team. He failed to understand recruiting is a must at the SEC level and an unproven coach has to wade through a ton of shite talking, hand shaking and molly-coddling boosters to get the money in place to pay the talent.

Reality : LSU just signed the #13 overall player in 5* DL Dominick McKinley and will not be buying players like the two who just transferred to OU and Miami.

McKinley might be great. But to depend on a true freshman on DL in the SEC isn’t a good look.
