Had a meeting in a conference room at a Holiday Inn Express in downtown Columbia, SC on Monday. Hotel apologized that the a/c was broken. They said the UK baseball team had stayed there over the weekend and did damage to the hotel after their series loss to SC….one of which was the a/c in the conference room.

I always love these anonymous threads about other teams and their fans.

So you're saying instead of going back to Kentucky after their final game on Sunday, they went back to the hotel just to destroy the AC?
Cool...

This,
How does an individual, or even a team break a conference room air conditioner?

And in the conference room no less.

Would expect an article written about it.

They were probably angry after the SC fans poured beer on them.

I don’t think either of these things happened, personally.

I do enjoy how you blindly believed the story about South Carolina but then respond this way when it’s Kentucky
Neither are true, though.

While this seems incredibly unlikely we did once have a basketball player who was infamous for wrecking hotels.
Shargari Alleyne is a rarely remembered Wildcat but the 7'3" monster played for Kentucky between 2003 to 2006. He had a quirky sense of humor and liked to leave what he described as "An upper Decker" in the hotel bathrooms. This required removing the tank lid and dropping some kids in pool. He would then replace the cover and turn the heat on in the room to let it marinate.
He later went on to play Basketball overseas, played several seasons with the Harlem Globe Trotters and he's currently back in the Bronx and is an avid Salsa Dancer.

I'd forgotten about that
you're right. Shagari's upper deckers were the stuff of legend

The thing with the South Carolina story is its believable. For fricks sake one of our fans got shot by one of you heathens at a game there. Your fans act like hooligans and you know it.
