Assuming that Jalen is QB1 going into this season, how do you help him?

Law and Prentice are good, maybe not great. Bernard is looking effective. Jalen still can't progress through reads from what I can tell. How does he get help in CKD's offense?

He can write LANK on the back of it and sell them online for extra NIL.

How much help should a second year starting RS JR need?

I hope he improves but it may be that mentally, he’s topped out and can’t improve any more. It probably doesn’t help this is a much more complex offense than what he’s accustomed to.
Against mediocre defenses, he’ll be OK but I still suspect he’ll struggle badly against good defenses.
If I had it my way, he’d have an air horn attached to his helmet that would go off at the 4 second mark after the snap, signaling he’s gotta either throw it away, take off running or check down. Took WAAAY too many sacks because he held on to the ball too long.
Seriously though, one thing that would help is when he’s under pressure, the WRs would back toward him to try and help him. Saw it way, way too many times where he was scrambling, looking for a receiver and our receivers were just kind of standing around.(?!?!). I put that really bad habit solely on Holman Wiggins. Good recruiter, TERRIBLE position coach.

Help is already there.
This time we actually got a good offensive coordinator.
Not some bum like BOB so many here was defending when he was running us into the ground or a position coach level guy masquerading as an OC like Rees

Not this shite again. You need a different therapist.

I agree with this but as I mentioned, what if Milroe has simply maxed out already in terms of developing? Has he reached his ceiling? If so, all the good coaching in the world won’t matter.
Kind of like entering a mule in the Kentucky Derby. The mule may try really hard but fact is, he’s never in a million years gonna be competitive, no matter the jockey or trainer.

1 thing would help him a ton is the o-line not being a turn-style like much of last year.
The other thing will be an consistently effective run game. I am pretty certain we'll have that this year.
WRs that can consistently get open.

Going to have to work in the offseason plus I think a lot of the pass offense hinges on two freshmen (Williams and Odom) and Hale's knee.

what if he hasn't even come near his ceiling?
Could be either one. I know that I was told by many people on this board that Hurts had reached his ceiling, and would never be more than a RB playing QB, would never sniff a QB spot on an NFL roster-but clearly that was way, way off. Who knows, guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Awesome, another shite on Jalen thread thinly disguised as something else.

Jalrn Milroe is a known quantity. Unless Deboer or someone else on the staff is as good with quarterbacks as Lane Kiffin, then there is no helping him.
Ty Simpson hanging around is an extraordinary off season win.

I don't understand why you felt the need to make a post. If it was for all three QBS, then I understand.. but why zerio on Milroe.

Better route concepts
Under BOB and Rees we had a lot of slow developing intermediate and deep routes that were basically relying on the receiver to just out athlete the DB and get open. There was little to no "scheming" guys open on a consistent basis.
It won't be quite as elementary as that under Deboer, reads will be required, but his offense at Washington resembled a Kiffin offense more than a Rees offense. Penix is incredibly accurate, but he had a lot of quick throws and easy reads because of the scheme as well.
Also the guys may love Jalen but not at the cost of winning games. They'll see Ty everyday in practice. If he's outperforming Jalen then he'll play and there will be minimal tears shed

I vote for having lights on his receivers which flash when they are open.
