Do you think Auburn will ever have a dynasty in any of the big 3 sports

We've had our moments in all 3 but never year after year greatness. any of them football, basketball, or baseball. Thats GREAT national championship back to back natty level GREANTESS like UCONN basketball.

Doubt it but have to get generational talent that hangs around. Football of the Big 3 is probably the only one possible

Agreed except for this. I think football’s best days are behind us. With NIL and the portal what they are, I think we have a much better chance of building something bigger in basketball, but I still don’t see a “dynasty” in the cards.

Big three?
Football, basketball, Equestrian.
Yes, we are in dynastic times.
The golf team is good too.

No. We are Auburn. We can’t have anything nice for long.

Playoffs/NIL/Portal/Super Conferences have all but guaranteed that dynasties will go the way of the DoDo bird.

If Auburn couldn't do it before NIL/Portal, it certainly won't do it after.

Baseball is the closest we've come lately IMO with the 2 CWS in 3 years, but we haven't been consistent enough there.
If we could get out of the first weekend in the tourney, I'd feel good.
Women's basketball has a chance, just due to how that sport works.
Football, I doubt you'll see a "dynasty" the likes of Bama again.
Transfer portal/NIL have changed team building forever.

You might, but it will truly have to come from a team with booster pockets far deeper than Auburn has. I may be surprised, but it's hard to see bama with that kind of bank, either.

You also have to have a coach who can make said boosters fall in line and not be at war with each other. I've said it multiple times, but that's arguably Saban's greatest accomplishment at Bama: getting that shite show of a booster system to ask "how high?" when he said jump

If it comes down to pedal to the metal spending, nobody is going to keep up with Texas. That said, I am a firm believer that you don't have to win the Recruiting National Championship to win the football/basketball National Championship. (But you do have to be in the ballpark, talent-wise.)

Top-10 consistently gets you in the ballpark if you can coach them up/

How are we defining dynasty?
To me a dynasty is dominating a sport for at least four years. Not necessarily winning a championship every year, but you’re the main storyline from start to finish for at least four seasons.
In football, that’s recently USC 2003-2006; Florida 2006-2009; Alabama 2009-2020; Georgia 2020-present.
I don’t see Auburn ever putting together that kind of run in football.
Basketball might be a possibility since the one and done guys don’t seem to win championships. Maybe we could put together a few solid recruiting classes. You certainly don’t need to field as many guys as football to make it happen, so having a solid 3-4 dudes stick around a few years could get you a solid run. I still don’t believe it.
Baseball is probably the best bet, but we’re not in a position to recruit talent like that.

I think in football we can have peaks every now and then. I think NIL will keep the big boys like bama from dominating. I still believe in Freeze.
We could have in basketball however bama countered with Oats. However if we can get same level replacement for Bruce one day when he retires then yes. I hope Bruce does not start to coast.
Baseball is a toss up.

Basketball there are way too many factors to really have a dynasty.
Baseball, we just dont have that kind of program.
