I think nationally that would put us in the 7-9 range. In my eyes, top 3 roster.

I expect he wants a starting role after two years starting at Miami and CBM would cut into his playing time here.

We had a zoom with Dior Johnson today. Elite player. Also strangled a girl.

That is certainly some baggage.
But he is wayyyyy more dynamic than I expected from our 2nd PG pickup

Look man we all make mistakes.

He’s a damn good player. Would like to see the court documents and info before I pass judgement.

Elite offensive player. Believe I saw where 4/5 charges were dropped and was given a misdemeanor. Likely a plea deal situation but like you said, he’s good enough that you look into it before passing.

You’re right, my mistake. SG, not SF.

Ivy just committed to UCF
For real though, at some point we are going to have to actually break open the check book and get a guy.. we can't keep missing over and over again.

I mean it’s not like we are on the Dave Ramsey plan. Reality is we’ve likely spent most of what’s in the bank on what we currently have. Maybe we can reallocate funds from football or baseball and give it to a sport that’s actually winning something.

To compound the issues it sounds Achor would be ours already but grades are an issue. Curious if it’s piss poor grades or the major again.

So when I say open up the check book I'm more talking about the rich people need to get off it and spend more on basketball.

The frustrating part is that it sounds like we had Achor until the transcripts got sent, which means we were basically down to one missing spot. Bruce could have easily sold getting more money (either from OTV or a donor) to get one more guy that could make the team championship level.
Dior could be a solid option because the reality is he likely won’t be able to hold out for a ton of money due to his past issues. Flip side is Bruce could have something special next year and Dior clearly has character issues (legal trouble on top of being a school hopper). He’s very good but not worth risking the team chemistry over. Bruce and Co. will likely do a lot of digging before taking him.

I have now awakened from my drunken slumber to frustration.

I just can’t believe in the professional college sports era we can’t make some of these transfers work academically. The school part is supposed to be part of a joke now

It may not actually be grades could be progress towards degree which would fall under academics as well. Sounds like maybe someone changed the major after a year or so or something like that
