Grandfathers and kids develop a special bond. My brother's grandkids will beat the stuffing out of each other over who gets to sit next to him at the dinner table. 3 year old girls are very enthusiastic fighters. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that their favorite place to eat is Sonic.

Old guys tend to be pushovers when it comes to cute young girls.

Busy day on the water today. Took some of the new neighbors out on the boat. Had a blast but it was busy as hell. Didn't think so many people would go out on Mothers day weekend.

Thanks slacker. I’m excited. Last one off to college at bammer in the fall and a new first gran baby on the way. Gonna brain washer her into an Auburn fan. Which her dad is an Auburn fan so should be no issues there.

I hope that you have the opportunity to spend lots of time with your granddaughter. I know that the distance is greater than you would like but I am sure that you will have opportunities to be a wonderful and godly influence in her life.

Just got back from a trip to Boston and NYC. Good times. Got a father son fishing trip out of Gulf Breeze next month (near shore trip).

I've been doing mostly inshore lately so wanted to change it up with a near shore trip. I don't really enjoy the offshore trips anymore unless it's a big boat. Too much riding and getting bounced around. Hanging around an extra day on Okaloosa Island for a day of surf casting, drinking and such.

Cool.

Me and the Mrs. (pics on Onlyfans), are driving down to Key Largo for 2 nights, on to Key West for 2 nights and somewhere for another night on the way home.

Key Largo, looks like we'll be on a canal, Key West were on a house boat. Thinking of taking rods. Wouldn't mind hitting some road-side fishing holes in the Everglades on the way back. (Like youtuber Angle up w. Brant)

Heading to SGI in early June.

Florida will be classed up a bit with all these Auburn people visiting.

We like Paddy’s and the Blue Parrot on SGI and the restaurant in the Inn in Apalachicola - any spots we’re missing?

We've been going to SGI for over 20 years. There's really no spot that you'd be "missing" in my opinion.

We generally cook every night, save 2 or so. We'll hit the Blue Parrot for overpriced, marginal sea food, and maybe grab a pizza at some point.

Harry A's is an interesting place to grab a drink and hear some live music.

We usually grab some shrimp from one of the trailers, maybe cook some fish, if we're lucky, but we choose SGI because there's nothing to "miss." It's low key.

Been going to Dauphin Island the last 10 years for the same reasons. Low key, no crowds and plenty of space to fish etc...

We went there once about 10 or so years ago. I had honestly never heard of that place. We had a great time.

When we arrived, there was some kind of monster saltwater fishing tournament going on the first two days we were there. Busy as hell. After that was over, it was like they evacuated the place. Haha. It was so nice and quiet.

Dauphin Island Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo and it is a big one. Biggest one in the area, as far as I'm aware.

I wish there were a couple of more food and bar places in Dauphin Island but I agree, it's a nice quiet place. We go there for the holidays when visiting my parents in Mobile.
