I’m glueing up some white oak for the desktop in my home office renovation. It’s gonna suck to do.

Drinking Gatorade’s version of pedialyte from the gas station and watching Oakland/NC State. Yesterday was a real sumbitch

Just got finished with a taco salad. Very good. Wife is about to head to work for the night. Im probably gonna do some music here for a few hours then pass out. Heading to work in the morning about 5am.....

Just got back from the Keys for a week. Had a blast but I came back go over 70 internet orders and 5 dealer orders. I have been in the shop this week 14 hours a day and I worked today and will work tomorrow. Almost caught up.

Installing my outdoor kitchen Monday. I hired a couple of amigos to help me do the manpower part. 5 crates of parts in my garage and driveway...

Went to Cudjoe Key this year. Had a house with a dock and kept the boat in the water. Amazing week.

I caught hell taking a week off in March but I honestly dgaf... It was worth it

Honest question. Do you believe the full moon has any effect on your or is that just a myth?

Honest question

ETA: Lanier, didn’t you have a Shad spawn spinnerbait? Looked for it on the website and didn’t see it.

Nah, I know some that do but I feel like it’s a placebo thing.

One of my bandmates’ wife had her birthday today, got together with a dozen of her friends and took a sunset cruise across Pensacola Bay

then hit her favorite restaurant on the bayfront for dinner, drinks and chocolate cake

almost perfect evening except for the frigid north wind that whipped up and down the boardwalk (because we were such a large party, we were seated outside)

still had a nice time with a lot of good friends, not a bad way to spend a Saturday evening

Sounds awesome Freep. What you experienced is why we never even considered moving to the panhandle. Just gets too cold there in the winter. We rarely get those nights down here where you cant ride in the boat after dark in shorts and short sleeve.

My family finally got its turn with covid about 3 weeks ago. The week before we headed to the Keys. My wife started feeling like she had a cold for a few days. But it eventually went away. No big deal. Two days later, I started feeling bad and it kicked my arse for about 4 days. Fever, everything. Sucked badly. Once I got through it, my son Jake came down with it but it only lasted a day or so with him.

It did not affect my wife or son much at all but kicked my arse. Normally, it's the reverse. Other than my gall bladder fiasco back in 2020, I can not remember being sick in the past 15 years. This was all of our first time getting covid. My wife usually gets her arse kicked and things done bother me. Different this time

There is nothing wrong with having a plan and executing it.

My cousin (actually mom's 1st cousin) and his wife used to live on Cudjoe. It was their "retirement home" when he took early retirement from ARAMCO and moved back to the states from Saudi.

They have since moved up to one of the lakes around Orlando to be closer to grandkids, but that's as the coolest house and location. Right on a canal, davits to get the boat out of the water but easy to put in and go. I loved it the couple of times we visited.

It was very nice there. We had a great place. Two story with two bedrooms. We went with another couple. Our vacation friends

Really enjoyed the trip.

I spent the weekend cooking, cleaning, and doing errands for my 80 year old parents. Since my work is mostly mental, I enjoy doing some stuff I don't have to think about. I am sitting on the back porch now watching the two tomcats dismember a rabbit.

Man I have thought that way so many times with my simple little business. I basically am a 1 man show. I do it all. And at times, the mental stuff drives me crazy. I end up sitting down for hours just tying jigs or packing products with the music on and zone out of everything that I have to think about. Just put 5 jigheads in a bag and seal it

That is my kind of jam. I watch the birds in our back yard on my feeders and the small gator in the pond behind the house thinking that one day, he is going to get hungry enough to charge them and have a snack.

Todays job. My outdoor kitchen came in on Thursday last week and I hired some guys to come out today and un-crate it and carry it around to the lanai. The panels are solid concrete and the countertops are granite so it’s heavy as hell.

I managed to get the pieces in place by myself and get it all screwed together. The last countertop is 84” x 40 something inches and it weighs over 400 pounds. We’ll have to get someone to help me put that up there.

All I have left to do is to put the trim pieces do a little shimming, install the last countertop, then put the appliances in which are fairly easy. Probably finish on Thursday.

I bought this system as a modular system and it is awesome. It is incredibly solid, but it is heavy as hell and I’m too fricking old to be moving those panels around and doing it by myself. Will take me a few days to recover. Should have it up and running this weekend and making some smash burgers one day on the griddle and smoking some ribs on the pellet smoker the next. Been a long time waiting for this.

man, that looks awesome - I'm pretty close to the days where moving around all that heavy shite is left to the professionals. an outdoor kitchen alongside the pool seems pretty nice and I hope you enjoy (without breaking your back.)

I'll be down in St. George Island in June and I will help if you are still building out.

(this is a lie.)
