Really liked that arm that Bama just ran out. Solid kid it looks like on the bump. Ump was squeezing him a bit.
Hogs kept it rolling today. Pitching staff is averaging 1.521 K’s per inning so far this year. 3 aces on the weekend and two others that may be aces on other staffs that come out of bullpen. 242 Ks in just 18 games is impressive.

What a horrible defensive alignment Bama was in there.

I see the term “ace” has really expanded recently.

I trust the Arky has very good pitching but I’m going to have to play the “you haven’t played anyone” yet card. One Friday night vs OSU with your ace was awesome. Outside of that… a little to be desired.

Hey Vols, how the frick do you lose to a team of walk ons? You better be glad we don't have the full schollies available that you do.
If you lose to this team of guys nobody wanted tomorrow you need to pack it up.

OU beats #12 TCU (7-5) for 2nd straight game and goes 5-0 in conf. OU now has the #1 SOS and #5 RPI in CBB
Skip is great with pitcher development and therefore will lose some games by not over-pitching players to prep his pitchers for the whole season. Thats why we lost some earlier games. But he has a really good pitching roster this year and I’m curious how far he can take them. Has a great incoming class as well, so we can compete in SEC next year.

He is undoubtedly a good coach. Hope Oklahoma fans start supporting his hard work. I have him picked as Bianco’s replacement when Mike “retires”

Last few home games have been sellouts. I hope he stays long term. Going to SEC might help us keep him tbh. Also has a great 25 class already. My hope is he can help get a new stadium or major upgrade to current one.

If I’m not mistaken, our ballpark is getting upgrades soon? If so, that’ll help with the image. The 2022 CWS Finals run sure helped bring some life into the sport here. We need that heading to the SEC where no opponent will be easy.

Yes, they have a $15m upgrade coming once they reach donation levels. I think the focus was on softball first but they got some 7 figure donations for baseball.
The project to upgrade L. Dale Mitchell Park will touch every aspect of the complex from the fan seating to the locker rooms, training rooms, coaches’ offices and team meeting areas, are well as a top-of-the-line performance and player development center.
Some of the renderings:
Edit:
Found a more recent info showing they increased scope to $30m.

Total contributions to the Oklahoma Baseball Stadium Project have now exceeded $12 million, with total project costs estimating $30 million.

quote:Pitching is everything especially once you get to Omaha. Our bats in 2022 were amazing but our pitching is the reason we won the national championship. That and Skip pulling y’all’s pitcher after giving up one hit in the 8th of game 2 in the championship series
