quote:Its the Lark apartments, they looked great when showing, but not safe at all, I could be off but I consider the area near walk-ons, Alex Box, and Tiger Stadium Campus...And The Lark is overrun with trash looking for cheaper rent, most of whom don't even go to LSU. Its well worth it to pay more and stay in better parts near LSU.
LSU doesn’t have apts by walkons those are near campus not on campus

There are certain areas in BR that are definitely dangerous, however, I've never felt like I was in danger anywhere on LSU's campus. Now, north of LSU (between LSU and downtown BR) - that's not where you want to be walking around at night. But the areas to the east, south, and west (Miss. River) are safe.
The very worst of BR is basically North BR between Florida Blvd and the airport. Don't go there.

Anything north of Florida Blvd is somewhere you want to stay away from. I work somewhat near O'Neal and Florida. The homeless population there is out of control and there's always sketchy arse people out and about.

When you factor in campus size (actual size and population) A&M falls like a rock. And here I thought we were good at something.

Vanderbilt isn't a tremendous shock given that the campus is located in a big city. Same for John Hopkins.
No idea for John Hopkins, but Vanderbilt is located in what I consider the one of the nicer areas of Nashville and, having been around campus, crime is definitely not a concern.
Again, this list is crap.

I don't understand the opinions about the list being "trash" or "inaccurate."
It's just a list based on crimes that were reported on college campuses, are you saying those were false reports or what?
I'm saying that: Having spent a good amount of time in Ann Arbor around the university never feeling remotely unsafe even at night by myself, and knowing what the area is like, I think that there has to be something fundamentally wrong with this list if they're saying Michigan is the most dangerous college campus in the country. I've never heard one report from someone who lived there that they felt unsafe in Ann Arbor.
For those that haven't been there, it's a super nice, suburban college town with the area around the university catered to college students. It's not like Flint or Detroit at all.

I am sure Murphy Paul is working on it. Just like the Allie Rice and Madison Brooks cases. At least the guys that raped Brooks were too stupid not to get caught.
We were all shocked when Murphy Paul resigned and Westin-Broom chose a white guy as a replacement.

Georgia State University should be on this list.
Atlanta isn't the cesspool you and others make it out to be.
