Saturday Down South writer says Texas is 'poised to take over the SEC'
The Texas Longhorns made a statement in a dominant 10-point win over Alabama last fall. Apparently it was heard loud and clear by Saturday Down South a publication that covers the SEC.
“It’s all set up now. The timing is perfect, the investment has been made and Steve Sarkisian is on the way to building a monster at Texas.
A monster that can take over the SEC.”

We're far more concerned with taking it over off the field.

How hilarious will it be when Texas wins the SEC in year one? Was it still a good idea, Mr. Sankey?

That's quite a bold statement. It's one thing to win one SEC game...Now, can you do that by playing a complete SEC schedule?

The reality is it will be harder than it was in the Big 12.
If you look at the 247 talent composite, you had Texas at the top (#6) followed by OU (#9), TCU (#19) then Texas TEch at #40. For comparison, here are all the SEC teams other than Texas themselves above Texas TEch in the talent composite last season:
Bama (#1), UGA (#2), A&M (#4), LSU (#7), OU (#9), UF (#15), Tenn (#16), Auburn (#18), South Carolina (#22), Ole Miss (#23), Mizzou (#25), MSU (#29), UK (#31), Arky (#32).
Yes, that's everyone except Vandy in the top 32 teams in the nation in talent as opposed to only having 3 teams in the conference other than yours in the top 40 in talent. Vandy is at #58, just a few spots behind Oklahoma State who's at $55.
It's foolish for Texas and OU not to think there's going to be an adjustment. If you sleepwalk against a Kansas or Kansas State, you can still win via talent edge. That doesn't happen against anyone other than Vandy in the SEC.

How does this little shite find time to post on this board all day when he's supposed to be "in school"? My kids would get detention for even turning on their phones during the day.

He’s not a kid. He’s a grown man who thinks, “Yeah, but you’re ghey!” is a sick burn, dude.

I'd bet Texas wins the SEC before Aggy and Aggy got a 12 year head start

They go to a private school. What kind of shite hole do your parents send you to where you get to frick off on your phone all day? Your GPA must be horrendous. At least try chasing some tail instead of spending your entire school day on this message board. At least get that part right.

As long as we're talking off the field, (to the south of it specifically) you guys don't seem to do well with border wars and takeovers
