Highest rated high school player to ever come to LSU. He's bringing 95 from the left side with movement. He'll be a force for years to come. Don't let first game jitters fool you. It happens; it's baseball

He'll come around.

Not worried at all. He will be a force but it won’t be this year.

No worries. He’s obviously distracted by the moment.

I’m not worried but that kid needs a lot of work. His mechanics look horrible. That was very hard to watch. I’m shocked honestly. From as lofty as a recruit as he was I certainly didn’t expect him to look like that.

You could see he was nervous. Several players tried to calm him down. He’s going to be just fine

LSU fans (shoot, all fans) are tone deaf when it comes to expectations. It’s one of the reasons I’ve really started to hate people that dig into recruiting rankings. The media & entrepreneurs have really preyed upon these people.

In the end, Cam Johnson is just another baseball player to come to lsu. We’ve seen 5 top-ranked guys bust & small town players become stars. Give the kid some grace. He was never going to walk in & be Randy Johnson.

Gonna be fun watching this young man as he learns to "pitch" and this staff works to get him there.

I’m not worried, but it’s probably not just first game jitters. When a guy throws 95 from the left and goes to college he’s going to be wild. If they can get him under control he will be a force. It will probably take time.

Like CJJ's comments re what he told CJ: "this is the worst you can look & you only gave up the one run". "Not worried at all, we can coach him to be better in the strike zone as he's performed a lot better all Spring".

He could be terrible this entire year and it wouldn’t mean much to me.

Let Big Ben spend five minutes with him. Cam will be fine.

I'm pulling for the big guy to develop into a version of Paul Skenes. His outing on Sunday showed us that he has a cannon of an arm and when his nerves settle down he will be special to watch.

Pretty sure he hit 97 in high school. With his size and raw talent, I'd be shocked if he isn't living in the high 90's in his career. He may even hit triple digits from the left side at some point which is wild to see in college.

He’s listed at 6’5”…. For those in person, did he look that tall on the mound? He seemed a little shorter than that watching on my phone.
