In reality this is a very risky hire. Top college programs usually do not hire DL coaches if they have not coached at least as an assistant on the college level. The only thing that makes this possible is having People’s working hand and hand with him. This is a risky hire no matter how you slice it but having People’s there to mentor him makes me feel better.

Only change I would make is Shores to Saturday and Eyanson to Sunday.

Yeah everyone has an opinion on this If these three stick in SEC play I like Shores on Sunday with a chance to win the series if we are tied.

I do say though all 3 have to keep improving for SEC play. I think our starting pitching is not elite right now and our offense and defense will have to win us some games. It’s not to say they can’t improve as the year goes along.
No we need him in the pen this year. He could give you a start in Omaha if needed kind of like Hurd did though.
Also this did not happen but if you hit the ball to the outfield you can not touch the green base rounding first.
Miliam that’s LSU’s All American 2nd baseman.

Wow some of the worst catching I have ever seen. Even when he catches it he struggles.

Ware is going to the pen during SEC play and he will do the Herring role. Jay loves to have one of his best pitchers in the pen.

Rankings don’t mean anything this time of year. Get back to me about 2/3 through SEC play. We play Tennessee so that will be settled then. I think Baseball America’s top 25 is more accurate than D1. Hopefully these boys keep their head down and keep getting better.

Kim does not give 2 shits about the SEC tournament.
Over all a good assessment. My take is I am a little concerned with our starting pitching I am not sure we are elite there but I know it is early. Moving Ware and Schmidt to more important weekend arms and getting Guidry back should help solidify our bullpen.Evans has been spectacular in his role. Rizzy has not looked as good with command as of late.

Hitting and defense have been very good. I personally like Reeves because he is left handed, can hit and has speed. I would like to see John and Tanner get more run at third. Hernandez to me is your best catcher overall. Cade has more upside but right now is a defensive liability IMO and not ready to assume the top spot.
This team can beat anyone in the top 10 but we can also lose on any given night. To me this team is an elite 8 team but not an automatic final four team. Everyone we play is in the game and we get no separation if we do we blow the big lead and either win close or lose. To me we lack consistent point guard play and post play. We have some guard depth but no post depth or a true 5. Lack of development of a go to post and true floor general will be our downfall come March.
This team was not ready to play after their big win over UCLA.

Nerves got the best of Williams. He will be better for it next time. He has potential that is for sure.
This is coming from the guy who thought Dickerson made the throw to third base when it was our shortstop. Additionally he thinks the team we played last night was the worst team we have played this season. Did you see Indiana a Fort Wayne and Southern? Blake needs to stick to clickbait and these off the wall rants he does.
I think Kling Kong is one of the ones Jay was surprised he wanted out. Best of luck to him it’s obvious a change of scenery and less pressure has been good for him. I hope he continues to play well.

Too early to make any judgements.

Great guy and coach. His chronic neck issue was hard to watch. He hung on about 2-3 years to long. Hope he does well with his “cocks”! I hope we sweep his A$$. He is Tigerbait now. I live in Charleston so I will be there to cheer on the Tigers.
