I mean what do we have to do? How can you put Miss St 13 spots higher?

Same here! There are not 60 teams better than we are.

18-3 loses to number 5, 6, and 85. Beats 31, 33, and 47. Best we can do is 61. I really don't understand how this ranking system works.

Told you, you want Kentucky and Tennessee to continue to win.

16-6 Bradley is ahead of GA, not sure I trust this list

How do you know that?

Ahead of Arkansas, I'll take it.

All things considered, Bama is probably over-achieving this year. Oats holding together till next year gets here.

Well, I know for a fact Ole Miss is better than two of those teams in front of them lol...I love the fact that Ole Miss has beaten two teams in front of them, including one on the road. It's cool that head to head matchups don't matter. That seems totally fair****

Tennessee is ahead of schedule. We usually don't start falling until late February or early March.

isnt net similar as well. taking analytics into consideration?
at the end of the day, winning is what matters. its frustrating that we are rewarding teams for losing, and punishing teams that win

Ole Miss squeaked by a heap of shitty teams in non conference and have been blown out a couple of times in conference play. Not great for the efficiency ratings.

They're not trying to hide what they are and wins and losses do matter. The point of NET is really to separate teams that are very similar when it comes time to fill out the field. I mean there are 68 teams in the damn tournament. If your team doesn't make it, then it's their own fault.

quote:The analytics aren’t really designed to reward or punish. They are intended to be used prospectively, as opposed to a ranking of team’s resumes or what they have done up to that point. That’s why the focus isn’t W/L, but efficiency metrics. My take is they were designed to have an objective analytical model to predict future outcomes more accurately.

It's true Ole Miss has a couple bad losses, (always embarrassing to lose to Auburn), but they've also beaten Memphis, MSU, and A&M on the road.
