There is no way CNS is going to stop wanting to watch film, or eval players, or recruit in some capacity. He will never stop being a part of the team in some kind of way.
The entire thing is turning into a gigantic win win for everyone concerned.
Imagine having Nick Saban on the support staff.

Having Nick Saban on speed dial has got to be the most valuable asset that a college head coach could possibly have.

McAfee is polarizing but one thing I'll give him credit for is he's not been civilized by media into forgetting what it is like to be an athlete on a team. Even though he was just a punter, there is still something to be said for not forgetting what it is like to play a team sport. A lot of these talking heads got no clue about that dynamic or been civilized too much and forgotten it.
I think Saban kinda didn't mind doing this show as much as I expected because most of the dudes on the set were former ball players. They didn't ask stupid arse questions someone could only ask if they haven't been on a team since park league tee ball.

He is a genuine guy.
I loved his daily show. Great guests and real conversation.
Plus, he told his cuck ESPN boss' to kiss his arse, so that's an okay dude in my book.

CKD comes across as authentic but you can see there's a serious side to him. That's that competitive nature. I think he'll do well recruiting with that script A on his chest.
For example I don't buy Freeze's "aw shucks" attitude. Dude looks like a fraud.

In terms of public speaking, I don't think he is as polished as Saban BUT I also know life has been crazy for CKD the past few weeks, he is trying to put everything together, and Saban obviously has a significant amount of experience over him. I feel like he is still getting to know the roster/names, etc. as well.
I'm excited about the change and growing with CKD! He has been a winner everywhere he has been. Time will tell! Roll Tide!

Yeah, Saban has clearly been to executive training for speaking to the public. I've loved how he tempers [or relaxes it - when required] with euphemisms from his past.
I've enjoyed his professionalism compared to our looney-tunes coaches of the past [same in the SEC].
Every man is different, as is every coach.

I think DeBoer has nailed every interview I’ve heard him do. He is a great coach and let’s hope the players buy in completely. I hope DeBoer is successful and is here for the next 15-20 yrs as a successful head coach. I’d love to get bored again from winning but there hasn’t been this much excitement around Alabama football in a long long time.

CKD probably feels like he has to be careful in what he says right now, as well. I think he HAS to be more vague right now. If you think about it...
- He has to be diplomatic about UW & their resources.
- Has to be diplomatic to the entire Bama roster and staff to ensure he keeps them happy.
- Has to be careful about what he says about Coach Saban.
- Has to be careful on setting any type of expectations.
Has to be tough.

Yeah don't know how anyone can watch his interviews and not just believe in him.
Even all the panic and reaction I was showing looks like absolute foolishness because CKD has rallied the troops, stopped the leaking and his gathering momentum.
I wish we could have retained a couple of guys (Downs, Proctor, Sayin and Niblack) however outside of LT all of those players have been replaced (maybe not the same level but still).
Excited to see what CKD will do and really hope he can prove all naysayers wrong.

What is your realistic expectations for Saban and the future? When do you all think we'll hear from him again?

I don't. But he'll be asked for the next 3 years how he feels CKD has Alabama performing.
But do think Saban will be helping the program behind the scenes... Absolutely.
I give coach tremendous credit... Like Sinatra, Nick Saban has done it 'his way'. Even down to him not calling a press conference to announce his retirement. How many coaches, leaving on their terms, would do that?
They say no one man is bigger than the program or institution... but coach Saban was instrumental for this chapter, who grew the program in unparalleled success; where athletes, coaches and students came from around the world, attracted to the success he built - I doubt he wants that legacy destroyed from vanity.
