It is hard to believe that Saban is 3 years older than the Bear was in this picture

i don't think Saban puts away a fifth of Johnnie Walker or a pack of Chesterfields daily....

On the sideline Curley always looked like he was sweating out last nights bottle of liquor.

The railroad track crowd in the final game of the 1980 season against GA Tech. Last chance to watch a game from the tracks. I'm in there somewhere. We were a bunch of idiots and slept on tracks overnight before game day.

Alabama head coach Paul "Bear" Bryant turned the tables on his Cotton Bowl rival, Texas A & M head coach Gene Stallings, by showing up at a joint press conference wearing a pair of "Texas Aggies" cowboy boots.

Bryant was given the boots by an alumnus when he was head coach at Texas A & M, after his 1956 Aggie team won the Southwest Conference championship.

Stallings played for Bryant on that team and was later an assistant coach at Alabama for Bryant before taking the A & M head coaching job.

Pretty cool relationship between Stallings and Bryant, both had Bama and A&M ties.

-Both won SWC titles at A&M. Stallings, as a player (under Bryant), and as a head coach, and Bryant (as a head coach).
-Stallings was an assistant coach for Bryant at Alabama.
-Bryant and Stallings won SEC and national titles at Alabama

Just a very cool photo knowing the history of the two men and the affiliation with both schools.
