Y'all are surprised that losing the GOAT coach has significant negative roster implications? Get kids in that want to be a part of the program.

It shouldn’t have been this bad. Byrne got a hard on for a guy and didn’t consider the culture fit at all.

If it makes you guys feel any better Brock Huard is gushing over Mack. He has seen him play and is just raving about him.

This isn't the end, expect half of the newly signed class to leave. Bye, bye playoffs for the next two years.

True, but this is still a massive loss. Sayin would’ve been the starter in 2025.

I love his size. Should be fun to watch him develop.
I’m honestly more concerned about the other position we are losing. We know DeBoer and Grubb can coach a QB up,

True and with dollars saved from this cat and 22 and 2 the entire roster should receive a cut of the savings.

Today if possible.

I’m not surprised to lose several very good players, but I am surprised by the total number. It’d be nice to see more than one win backfilling as well.

This portal rule where only teams that lost a coach have it open is yet another surface level NCAA’s read that’s a disaster for both players and teams.

That said, Washington and Arizona had nice teams last year. DeBoer has to stop the bleeding or start bringing in a large number of guys from those teams.

Otherwise we’re looking at a very thin roster for spring ball.

Sir, those leaving don't give a shite about the system or scheme. This is big bucks.

So why didn't they walk with Sayin? Especially those that enrolled early.

I appreciate that you're trying to be positive in a sea of melting Bama fans the past few weeks, but there's really no way to spin this. It's a big loss.

Losing a linchpin signee in a class like a top QB is probably going to cause a lot of the 2024 class to jump. There is no way to spin it but the staff is failing to stop the bleed. This one is going to cause defections that really should've been the foundation of DeBoer's 2025 and 2026 teams. Grim stuff because we very well could get into LSU's predicament where they are having to live in the portal every year because they can never get ahead of their roster gaps.

Yall do this to yourselves. I remember when folks were calling into Jox saying Simpson should be starting over Bryce Young....

At this point I think we should just cut any player or recruit that isn't willing to get "Roll Tide" tattooed on their forehead. College sports have turned to trash.

Coach getting trashed barely a week into his hire.

This fanbase is hopeless.

Some of yall have never seen good, talented coaches at work or have talked ball with them. I have. I can tell you 1000% this may be the way some hick varsity baseball coach thinks, but not elite coaches who win.

You mean like signing DB's from UAB and ULL to start over all these great DB recruits Saban had signed?

Call into Finebaum and complain about it then. That will turn back time and make Byrne hire the perfect guy that absolutely nobody would have left for.

Thats what I say. If you don't want to be at Bama, go on git.
