You can't be a fan when things are going great but not when they're bad. You either love it or go be a fan of someone else.

Alabama is not special. Nick Saban was special. Welcome to the real world mother frickers.

So when Burton, Trez Marshall, or ToaToa transfered to Bamathey weren’t hired guns but now they are..

yep.
My favorite part is that they've shite on other fans for feeling this way for years. Outside of UGA, welcome to reality.

Yeah but come on we aren’t that far removed from reality. We all still get nervous before most of the games.

Isaiah Bond became an Alabama legend with his catch in the Iron Bowl. He would have never had to pay for a meal in Birmingham or Tuscaloosa ever again. Now he’s on his way to play for a rival SEC school.
Fair point

Some of our fans are so damn dramatic and embarrassing

It's definitely a surreal experience. Looking back to when Saban left LSU, all of that talent he had stockpiled for them didn't have the option to just pack up and leave. They had to stick around, and Miles did a pretty good job of using that stocked cupboard to keep that train rolling for a while. This new reality where all of our players can transfer out and we aren't allowed to go get anyone to transfer in to replace them is pretty remarkably shitty, though. I get that Saban retiring was always going to bring in some dark days, but losing Saban and then additionally losing half the team just sucks.
Oh well. Did I quit being a Bama fan when Franchione left us, Mike Price came and then was gone like a rancid fart, and we found overselves with a career QB coach running the team? Nope! And I'm not quitting now either. Roll damn Tide, and frick all you bitches.
Those Bama fans who don't know anything but Saban's success are struggling pretty bad, though.

They're realizing Alabama wasn't special. Those 5 stars weren't coming to play for Alabama. They were coming to play for 7 time National Champion coach Nick Saban. Without Saban, Alabama is just noise. They blend in with Georgia, Ohio State, Texas, Michigan and the like. The only differentiator now is the size of the NIL bag. Bama has to play the same NIL game as everybody else now because Kalen Deboer ain't moving that needle. They're late arriving to the new terms of college football but they're here just like the rest of us now.

Bama has been a brand name in college football for 100 years. What Saban did at Bama was special and likely unrepeatable, but Bama’s trophy case was full before Saban got there. Bear Bryant’s funeral procession from Tuscaloosa to Birmingham in 1983 - 41 years ago - was like a president had died. Bama has never stayed down. Predict their demise at your peril.

Actually, Bryant / Saban were special!!
Bryant / Saban: 12 NC and winning %87
Since 1936 (AP era):
12 coaches not named Bryant / Saban
1 national championship
Winning %60
Live look at Alabama “fans” realizing this

Alabama recruits itself.
Don’t have to pay as much NIL, playing for Bama makes up the rest.
Grand slam hires. Blah, blah, blah

Maybe Saban should’ve planned his retirement better?
Don’t act like Bama is getting unjustly punished. The rule is in place for all schools. Your coach is the one who screwed yall.
