I just called the University of Arkansas main athletics phone # to ask a random question..

Here's the message I got:
"You have reached the University of Arkansas athletics department. We are currently closed. Please call back Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm excepting university holidays. Thank you."

Bro it’s cold as frick in Louisiana. I can’t imagine Fayetteville. I remember a few years ago they closed because icesickles that looked like stalagmites could fall and literally kill you right where you stood. No thanks.

Fayetteville is shut down due to the weather. I'm not saying it is the correct response to the weather, but that's why you aren't getting an answer.
When I got up this morning it was -7 with a windchill of -18. We still have several inches of snow on the ground. NWA in general is shut down right now.

I have been out this morning with staff. We started on the south end of the city. The main roads are anywhere from passable to clear as you can see from the pictures. We have some of the secondary roads passable, but more clearing needs to be done on them. With the sun out it will be much easier clearing the roads today. The high today will be 18 degrees.
