Thanks H & G Board. We had a rep (owner) from Gonzales Electric Gates come out and give us an estimate. We signed an invoice then and they are beginning work shortly.

Grass Carp

Posted by Chili Mac on 7/28/25 at 10:20 am
I recently purchased a piece of property with a small pond (app 3/4 acre) in MS. I have a grass problem around the pond and was told about purchasing 1-2 grass carp fish to help with the grass.

I have no experience with grass carp. I know I have to abide by the MS rules regarding Fish and Wildlife issues. Any feedback from H & G board will be helpful.

thank you in advance, Chili Mac

I'm interested in moving to a 10MM for home defense and occasional walk in the woods. I've held the S&W and the Glock 20 and they seem very big in my hands. I want to take a look at the FN 510 Tactical and maybe (?) the Sig X10. Not many gun stores have either to look at.

What are the OB's ideas and experience with either of these???
In dealing with FEMA in the past (Hurricane Katrina - 2018), I have also observed many improvements. The hardest thing to deal with in the beginning was convincing FEMA that they were the victim especially in criminal cases. We were told by FEMA that the most important letter is the "E" for emergency. Let's just get the money out there and the auditors can correct everything later. As time evolved, FEMA has moved toward taking the posture of "we only want to be the bank" and forward all responsibilities to the states. I have been retired for a while, and I hope that whatever decision is made will be an improvement.
I went to my trusty Carhartt connection in Baton Rouge the other day and found out they are no longer carrying the thicker fabric of jeans either. They will only carry the thin fabric in the future. They had 2 pair of the older brand in stock and I bought both. I wear a pretty popular size and was amazed/surprised they had may size left.

The City of St. George has got to rank up there somewhere
I think they're scouting us for when they secede. I'm hoping they can take us with them. Our big selling point will be the Mississippi River. :dude: :dude: :dude:

Harris will start and not miss a play barring any injury. Book it and disregard the Lane speak!!! :geauxtigers: :geauxtigers:
I went to Burbank Tire and Car Care for my last wheel alignment. They were very responsive, and it took about an hour.
