I think we end up a bit less talented, but a better coached team.

We'll also be a bit more QBcentic. But QB development will shine.
It's all a matter if degree.
I think we stay balanced and have a more disciplined Offensive line.
The immediate future depends largely on how Milroe responds to world class QB coaching. If he has it in him to be a fast thinker in the field, they will bring it out.
Even on defense we will be better coached, with fewer breakdowns and mis communications.
But the question becomes. Can we Stay a top ten recruiting program.
Top 10 should keep us national championship competitive.
There is often a tradeoff between great recruiters and great on field coaches.
I think we are swinging more towards coaching.
A nearly intact roster and an improved milroe might be considerably better than last years Bama. But of that doesn't happen, will it be a hiccup or the beginning of a precipitous talent drain?

Agree, but with the transfer portal initial recruiting , although important, is less so. Look at the 24 cycle. Ole Miss. is practically building their team from transfers. Look what happened to A&M.
They lost many of those high priced high school recruits.

Having excellent teaching and game day coaching is more important now than recruiting out of high school. Recruiting had been reduced to buying players, and everybody can buy your players. Spending nil on unproven hs players is actually probably a pretty poor user of funds. Get proven portal players and have excellent coaching. I think we are going to have excellent coaching.
The saban model of just accumulating a suffocating advantage in talent doesn't work anymore, it was just Saban's status as GOAT that helped him keep it up to an extent, but even his later teams showed cracks.

I think we will be extremely talented with less negative energy vampires on the team.
The offense WILL be better and the defense will be far more aggressive once everybody is on the same page. They will be young and ultra talented especially on the backend.

Dont understand why you are getting downvotes. I think it is spot on. As great as Saban is, the past three seasons havent been greatly coached teams (though this year was still amazing to pull of what they did). But we’ve seen a ton of busted assignments, penalties, and some bonehead decisions.
I think we will see less of that and a more fundamentally sound product moving forward. The question is, will it be performed by slightly less raw talent on the field. How much of a talent hit can you take and be offset by coaching? We shall see.
But if we’re lucky we wont lose much talent this next season or two and will get to coach up the talent that is in Tuscaloosa currently. That will be best of both worlds.

Saban often sacrificed coaching for recruiting. I don’t think that’s debatable. And the last few years he seems to have had a harder time filling vacancies. I think what he alluded to about coaches and players wanting assurances about longevity came into play.

If we are being very honest, Bama has not been coached to an elite level across the board for years. Elite talent has masked a
lot of coaching deficiencies by assistants.

If this is the case Alabama is a 9-3 type of program in the SEC. Being a non-elite talent program does not work in the SEC. It just doesn't. It works in the ACC, Pac 12 (RIP), Big Ten to an extent, etc. It doesn't work when 6 of the Top 12 teams in recruiting are in the same conference. Alabama's goal should be to remain in that Top 5-7 range in recruiting, NIL be damned.
