Now subtract the greatest 40 years in the poll era from other programs and see what you’re left with.

What point are you trying to make here?

Outside of the two greatest, Alabama is pedestrian AF.

Which is a shock to Alabama fans as they believe it’s not the coaches, it’s bc their “Alabama”

The administration fixed that.

They did for Saban. You don't really know what the power structure is now. Saban might still be in charge.

Look at Apple without their two best CEO’s Steve Jobs and Tim Cook. Total crap company. They can’t succeed without a legendary CEO. Sell your 401k now!

Im not surprised that bama fans don't get the point-but many other posters here seem to miss the obvious.

Are they that stupid or just pretending?

More are in the pipeline. This guy is the real
Deal I have a feeling. Perfect age to be her 20 years if he makes it happen. He’s already outperformed most coaches in the SEC.

If you take away Michigan’s best two drives while Alabama gets to keep all of ours, Alabama wins!

He really does seem like a good hire to be honest.

But time will tell if he can handle the pressure of that job and the culture shock of being in the south
at a school that lives, breathes and eats college football year around.

An eye opening exercise would be to compare the worst periods of each SEC program and see how they compare. Maybe comparing the low points of programs will actually be more telling than comparing the high spots.

If you remove Bryant’s and Saban’s tenures at Alabama, you are left with 23 seasons. During these 23 years, Alabama had:

Nine 10 win or better seasons
One undefeated season
One national championship
Five SEC West crowns
Three SEC championships

So, how did other programs do during their worst periods?

Let’s compare the 26 years that Mcclendon, Stovall, and Hallman coached at LSU. Even though we are spotting them a couple more seasons, it looks rough. LSU had:

Zero 10 win seasons
One SEC championship
Zero national championships

Interesting that an LSU fan started this thread in light of this.

You realize they’re going to just double down on these points, right?

Self awareness is not a common trait among them.

This is stupid. LSU has what, 3?

So 2 more than Bama taking away their 2 best HCs? You have 1 more without one of those coaches.

If you take away Pat Riley & Phil Jackson, the Lakers are pretty much the Atlanta Hawks. Their fans should demand better.

Remember when LSU won a title 4 years ago and that night Herbstreit said they had a cultural problem and that the future did not look good for LSU? Herbstreit nailed it.

That's right, many teams in all sports need a GOAT to win championships.

Thank God LSU isn't one of them!
