Have a coach that beat Saban already so not worried about the replacement. I find it interesting you're looking at an Air Raid guy because that's so far and away from BAMA football's identity.

Not scared. The only coach that has ever scared me is Saban. And Spurrier at Florida. Kirby at Georgia doesn’t even scare me, even though they’ve been amazing.
He’ll be good. Possibly very good.
But, so are a lot of coaches and teams. Saban at Alabama had the potential to just gut LSU through recruiting and in other ways. At times, he did. That’s what scares you. Not a good coach from the West Coast with no southern connections. Still, I expect him to be very good.

I don't think anyone is going to be "scared." You're replacing Nick Saban and nobody else out there is going to be at or above Saban's stature.
But I think this is a good pick for Bama.

This.....we've lost twice in the last 3 years to a Saban-coached team. Saban is the only coach I ever feared. I hate to break it to the Tide fans, but this sort of thing doesn't work like this. You don't replace someone like Saban without going through about 10 years and 3 coaches. Hard times are coming. They won't admit that now, but they'll know soon enough. Saban lost 2 games each season for the last 2 seasons and the greatest coach to ever coach the game caught all kind of crap from the fanbase. Just imagine what this poor sap is gonna catch when he loses 2 this season?

Scared for bama? Guy who on the surface sounds great but has the making of epic failure. He caught lightning in a bottle with Penix, and was in a weak conference. Let’s see how long he lasts at bama… I give him 3 years.
