Now, that's how you replace a coach. 48hrs and done. The real crying will start...

When this sinks in to the rest of the SEC.

He really is a home run hire. Two days and done... not 45.

We'll see you folks after spring practice and then when the season starts. Bama has a brutal schedule, so I expect a first season with it's ups and downs. Hopefully, nothing like losing to New Mexico State... but we'll see.

I wouldn't be surprised if we're in the hunt again soon.

Good analysis. Sounds like he and Norvell were the top choices. The others just used us to get raises…

Define HR hire?

If you mean, he will do fine. Sure he can.

If you mean that he will just keep the Saban Bama just humming along at the clip it’s been in in this dream world you all have been living in then no, no it’s not.

Of course bama will be in the hunt in the immediate future. The million dollar question is can deboer keep it going.

I couldn't agree more the handling of the hiring is done well, but I am not willing to label it a homerun as of now. He has the potential to be a homerun hire.

I think he has much better temperament than Harsin and has won at higher level. We will see how well he recruits.

Why don't you tell us what you knew about DaBore prior to the last ten minutes.

Will he keep boosters at bay? If not, sinking ship. Saban told them to GFYS.

No one can replace the GOAT. Just ain’t gonna happen.

I will say his hiring is better than Kelly’s hiring. A ton better than Freeze.

He may be top three in the SEC right away - under Kirby and Sark.

There was no homerun hire available after Kirby didn't even take the call from 205.

If DeBoer is the guy, it is a very good hire and Alabama did what they have to do to replace a legend; hire the most accomplished HC available.

That's DeBoer, but there is a lot of risk with the hire. Much better decision than Tommy Rees tho.

I guess after the 7 other candidates rejected Bama I can maybe see your logic... but no.

How many titles will he win in his first five years?

Will he be the winningest coach in the conference over that span?

This is the problem he has. He has to be that good or you won't be happy. And he's got the best coach in the country now, another that's a top five, another two that are top ten as his competition.

Oh, you'll be in the hunt again soon...in the hunt for a new coach after this Smack-12 goofball is run off for losing 4-5 games 2 years in a row and is run out of town by a howling mob.
