I don’t think you can say that yet. But I think he’s a good hire….one of the best available. NIL and the transfer portal have really changed the job descriptions for NCAA head coaches. Guys like Dabo are in my opinion a little bit on the outside looking in because of all the non-X&O things that need to be managed.
This is a young guy who appears to be able to manage the multiple dimensions required in this New World. But I guess we’ll see how it plays out.

My concerns lie with the defense and recruiting. It seems Bama is investing a lot in TRob. TRob is to lead the defense and lead much of the recruiting effort. I'm not sold on TRob in either area without Saban backing him up. The Bama offense is in good hands but in the SEC you can't win anything of significance with offense only.
The best recruiter in Alabama is now clearly Hugh Freeze. To think Bama will continue to look the same especially in relation to Auburn would be foolish if they are splitting the best talent in the state or Auburn is getting the majority of the best talent in the state.
And, Bama will definitely have an uphill battle to keep pace with Georgia when it comes to recruiting at least for a cycle or two with this new staff.
