Saban realized that OL wasn't going to be fixed overnight and didn't want the headache of another season like the one he just had. And tbh, at his age I don't blame him one bit. He will go down as one of the all time best (even if surpassed down the road). His legacy is set. Now enjoy them grandbabies, the free time and the money.

Can't believe all these idiots on this board rejoicing that Saben is retiring. He was college football!! He and his teams were how other teams measured their program. I pulled for them every game except when they played Ole Miss. Bye to the GOAT.

My first thought was wishing him a long, healthly retirement and secondly, I recalled an old Sam Kinison bit describing how one of his wives responded to learning of his liaison with another woman, crying with her face in her hands, yelling “Don’t leave me until I have a chance to get you back” in a low growl.
