The WRs made a lot of progress this season. The rest of the offense did not.

Alabama, where you make the playoff with a first year starter at QB and want the OC fired.
It took a miracle to beat 6-7 Auburn.
We scored 24 vs Texas
We scored 17 vs South Florida
We scored 24 vs Ole Miss
We scored 26 vs TexasAM
We scored 21 vs Arkansas
We scored 27 vs Auburn
We scored 27 vs UGA
We scored 20 vs UM
We scored actual elite offensive points vs Middle Tennessee, Miss St, LSU (worst defense ever), Kentucky, and Chattanooga
This was the worst Bama offense since a different era of football where the RB's were leaned on, and the defense was expected to win championships.
I'm in the Rees and Milroe both weren't good camp, but Rees is the one paid to make adjustments and figure out a way to use the skillset of the players he has and he did not do that... at all.

When has winning at Auburn ever been easy?
Saban has spoiled a portion of the fanbase beyond belief.

It’s just not good enough, Saban is washed lol.

What did you see from Rees that you liked ?
Why were the ND fans having a party when they found out Rees was leaving ? Why did they dislike him so much ? What was the word on him there ? I really don't know.

Same here.
I will say that Milroe is also very well paid for a skill set that he did not deliver.
Milroes skill set consisted of chunking the ball deep. Hard to gameplan around that. I am still looking for all this athleticism he supposedly has but haven’t seen it. I guess that just means that he has good top end speed. Not quick.
A lot of times he would look like new born giraffe when taking off to run like when he fumbled in the last game.
He plays with blinders on. Intermediate game is horrible, can’t see the RB’s in the flats and at times honestly looked a little scared to run.
When you are told this is going to be your QB, exactly how do you game plan with this? Reminder, I think Rees is an awful hire. May have been a good OC at Bama 14 years ago however he was in high school then.
Saban’s handling of the QB situation from spring to fall and allowing Buchner to come in(huge mistake) is as much to blame as anything.
Question is what does Saban have the balls to do now? He absolutely will not fire Rees and Milroe will be the starter lest there be another ‘team’ revolt.

Not being in the top 50 in total offense and allowing 49 sacks(ranked 122nd in sacks allowed) is probably the reason. The offense was pretty rough this year. It’s not good enough. He’s in charge of the offense ultimately.
I don’t care if he’s fired or not. That’s on coach. I’m just looking at facts and making a judgement based on those. We weren’t nearly good enough.
Players weren’t good enough either. The offense has to get better. QB has to get better. Pass protection has to get better.
Everyone wanted murder ball but realized how badly they missed having an elite offense when we were lucky to score 27 any given night.
I’m praying Milroe, Rees and the entire unit figure it out. I’d love to see Jalen running this offense like a machine. That needs to be the goal.

It is interesting to read both sides of the quarterback and OC discussion. I for one do not believe you can evaluate Rees as long as Milroe is playing. When he threw those two interceptions straight to the defense in the Texas game gave me my first clue. I suspect Rees is not great. You really do not know how good somebody is at their profession until you see how they react in a crisis or critical situation. Sully landing that airplane in the river is a good example of someone who knew exactly what to do in a certain situation. How many pilots would have made that choice? Quarterbacks that are good or great react to adverse situations the right way. Milroe has repeatedly demonstrated he does not have that capability and more experience will not solve the problem. As a young quarterback Ken Stabler threw the ball out of bounds on fourth down to stop the clock. That was inexperience as his career demonstrated. There is enough evidence at this point that Milroe's ability to play quarterback cannot be chalked up to inexperience.

It sad that if Saban didn't botch his OC hire we could have legitimately won 4 in a row.
Let that sink in everybody.
We would not have won a title with Milroe at QB no matter who the OC was.
A lot of delusion over this loss.

His adjustment should have been either find a way to develop another QB which he had not been here long enough to do that or just run the ball with the QB we had.
I would have rather seen Milroe under center handing it off as quickly as possible.
In the end Rees may not be the answer and yes it was frustrating that instead of having a solid game plan going into the game it seemed we had to rely on half time adjustments to pull out a win the majority of games this season. But Milroe is definitely not the answer and I do not think whoever the OC was could have helped with Milroe at QB.
I hope I am wrong because Milroe at this point will be the starter going into next season. The only way we have a chance to win is with a very dedicated plan that tries to limit the weaknesses of Milroe.

Our offense was handicapped because of the processing speed of our QB.
Someone already mentioned he cannot process what is going on because the game appears to move to fast for him. This seems to be a mental issue on his part.
He has all this athletic ability and speed, but it does not help him. He also gets hyper focused on the play that is called but only looks at the first option. So, he focuses on what is getting called but cannot process now what is going on presnap like the obvious blitz coming. Once the snap happens, he has to commit to what he wants to do which prevents him from looking after the first option at WR or even checking down to the RB or TE because the play is in action and moving too fast for him to adjust. If so, that would contribute to his inability to process the pressure coming to utilize his speed and avoid the sack. It would also limit his vision to avoid pressure.
His holding onto the ball too long in my opinion comes down simply to his inability to process what is going on.
But if you and others want to place the whole blame elsewhere and pretend our OB had no issues that is a fantasy world, I do not reside in. I am not sure his inability to process at the speed the game requires can be fixed and any OC will be limited in what they can do.

it is pathetic that Milroe got more carriers than the other 3 RBs COMBINED

I have said this all year long but morons like YStar have called me a hater and deflected blame on to Rees. You are absolutely spot on. Ty Simpson will end up starting at some point.

I'm not going to argue that, but I will say Lane Kiffin took a converted RB and 1 legit WR and broke pretty much every offensive record that existed at that time.
Lane kiffin definitely could have won a title this year with this personnel and Defense. The interesting thing would have been if he would have chosen milroe, simpson, or lonergan to run the show.

Nailed it . I have yet to see all this "athleticism". Not quick, not shifty, inaccurate arm, etc. His deep ball game was decent early in the year but he's missed a bunch and wayyy off target on several. Several were under thrown and he got lucky to get pass interference. It's the same situation with hurts where I would literally cringe every time he dropped back. He's been in the system long enough that he's closer to his ceiling. Bryce easily wins the championship this year with the defense. Rees likely isn't very good either even with being handicapped. He knew what Milton was and should have ran the ball a ton more

Not for the opposing defensive coordinator it's not.
That's why we were in a dog fight with every team we played not matter the talent including South fricking Florida hahahahaha

Yeah, that notion needs to go away. He was the least mobile QB in the playoff after including the 100 yards of sacks.
"I came here to throw the ball" is exactly what he said in his Rose Bowl interview. It's what he has said all season. He puts his own desire to be viewed as a pocket passer ahead of what the team needed him to do ALL SEASON to win.
When I realized we couldn't get him to stop dancing around in the pocket taking one sack after the other instead of running the ball that's when he really lost me.
I hope someone beats him out, but we all know it's not possible even if Tua came back to use his last year of eligibility Milroe is Sabans guy now no matter the frick what. Tua would be handing out Gatorade and holding a clipboard.

What happens when you give every Runningback -40 yards on 7 sacks? (5 of which weren’t their fault)

I've never seen the RB's dance around behind the LOS for 7 seconds, and then possibly run 15 yards backwards to get tackled for an enormous loss, but by all means keep your head in the sand bro.
