Our offense was handicapped why was the worst offensive output the game he was benched against the worst team on the schedule? I’ve heard on this board all week that Rees can’t run his offense because milroe is limited. He had a whole game with two other quarterbacks and his offense still sucked. I would love for the Rees fanboys to please give me a logical explanation of why. In two years a few of you Rees fanboys will have to admit that Powhound, funkyTide, ego3x, Ystar and myself were right about Rees the whole time. Jalen has a lot to improve on but to continue to pretend that he was the liability on this team is dead wrong. We lose 4 games easily without milroe.

Our OC is shite, or he is totally hobbled like Daboll was with Hurts. I'm betting its a mixture of both because I know for a FACT that Rees was way down the list when CNS started looking for an OC. I also happened to watch all the games this season, and came away thoroughly unimpressed with just about EVERY ASPECT OF THE ENTIRE OFFENSE. What could we hang our hat on as an offense this year ? Being sacked 6 times ?

Our QB is LIMITED. I looked it up at one point during the season there was ONE other quarterback in the entire league that held the ball longer than Milroe. Do you understand what this means ? He was literally computing everything that he saw slower than EVERY QB IN THE ENTIRE LEAGUE, and Rees never did a single damn thing to help him out. I mean roll the pocket, call more QB runs, actually give the ball to Kendrick Law on the sweep.

Do you know who used to get the ball out the fastest of ANY QB in the ENTIRE NFL ? Tom Brady. Year in year out Tom Brady would have the ball out the fastest. Who won the most titles ? Tom Brady. Can any of you extrapolate anything from that without all the "butts" that Mr. Doe was talking about ?

If the opposing DC knows you cant get the ball to certain areas of the field you are much easier to defend, and you become easier to gameplan for.

IF the DC knows you are not likely to adjust away from pressure, or into a hot route that DC will eat your lunch, and we saw that play out ALL SEASON. How much data do you need to witness in real time ? You cant argue with the reality of actual results.

I created a thread about this after the game... "this is a pro style program, we need a pro style QB to get the ball to our pro style players." No "project QB's" need apply.

That's it. STFU with anything else. That's the entire problem in a nutshell. How could the 2020 season see us go in any direction other than that for the foreseeable future ? It was like watching the most purest form of football ever played at Alabama every Saturday. It was truly beautiful.

Last thought- analyst, and fans in attendance said all year receivers were running open, even after holding the ball longer than any other QB in the league Milroe could not see them.

For me this is on Saban. There are simply too many head-scratching bullshite things going on with our personnel and coordinators. Jam and Justice could have had an impact in this game, but weren't given the chance. Kendrick Law zero touches.

Both can be bad. Some of you have really become totally unhinged about this.

You’re correct. Saban has botched the last two offensive coordinator hires and it has come back to bite us. I miss watching us have a fun offense.

It sad that if Saban didn't botch his OC hire we could have legitimately won 4 in a row.

Let that sink in everybody.

Regardless how much you hate us or disagree with us, you can't deny that if we had a better OC the last 3 seasons we would have won 3 in a row and would be playing Washington for the fourth

Saban wanted the Washington OC Ryan Grubb, but he turned us down.

Rees was a few rungs down the ladder.

It's a bad look because people will think Bama fans want Coordinators fired unless we win a title, but the fact of the matter is the offense was HORRIBLE. I mean we did NOTHING effectively for more than a series or two all season.

Milroe can be limited and still be the best QB on the roster

Lastly, I will be the first to say that I think Saban asks Rees to look for a new job.

Just watch all his interviews after the game and the McAfee show. He is trying to graciously point out the fact he feels the OC screwed us big. We weren't prepared to run multiple plays, we didn't run like we should have and we didn't run enough plays to highlight our strengths and use our talent outside of QB.

Saban has to know it's his fault for believe Rees that we could gap block in short situations when we struggled with that all game.

Preach man.

Probably hard to recruit a top OC like the one at Washington when the locker room gets to pick the QB

It’s amazing that people can’t see past the Milroe camp they have put themselves in.

This is just as bad as political affiliations.

Do you guys realize how dumb you sound when Penix had a worse QBR and completion percentage as a fifth year senior LAST season than Milroe had as a first year starter with no development from BOB this season?

Blinded by hatred. Don't let the facts stop you

Ww recognize he has limitations. We just know he is the best we have.

We also point out our OC has significant limitations but you guys love to defend him and use others as an escape goat for him

Good argument it’s the worst or 2nd worst offense we have had under Saban (excluding 2007).

Only the 2008-09 and 2015 teams had a lower YPA and they all played in run heavy offenses and lots of garbage time which dragged the avg down.

Under 400 ypg for the first time since 2008. In this day that’s bad especially for a time that recruits like Bama

Alabama, where you make the playoff with a first year starter at QB and want the OC fired.

Milroe
16 CMP / 23 ATT, 116 PaYds O Int 0 TD
21 rushing attempts/ 63 yards
1 fumble lost

Don’t let the facts get in the way of the narrative of “hate.”
When the QB runs as many times as he throws but only pulling 3 yards a run that’s beyond a single off season fix up.

They don’t care about the truth they just don’t wanna admit they were wrong about milroe. We had a number one pick last year and our offense didn’t look much better last year than this year. Same horrible passing game. Not getting the ball to playmakers. LSU brought in a real OC and broke records this year on offense. We brought in a guy who no one considered a good offensive mind but Saban and maybe Brian Kelly. Notre dame fans were celebrating when he left.

...and where the LT is a True Freshman, the Center can't snap the ball, the OL reshuffled, first year starter at QB who finished almost in the top 5 of the Heisman, a new OC, etc.
