2 of the 7 sacks fit this description. Absolutely a recurring problem that needs to be fixed but putting all the negative yardage on him is

That one receiver was Amari freaking Cooper. Creating a game plan to highlight one guy when he’s a future all pro NFL player is a lot easier than what we were working with this year. Rees is no Lane but people forget how frustrating Kiffin was at times that year with a limited QB.

Regardless how much you hate us or disagree with us, you can't deny that if we had a better OC the last 3 seasons we would have won 3 in a row and would be playing Washington for the fourth
Didn’t Bryce’s offenses average mid 40s each year?

And we couldn’t stop ANY solid offenses then.

Our offense was handicapped why was the worst offensive output the game he was benched against the worst team on the schedule? I’ve heard on this board all week that Rees can’t run his offense because milroe is limited. He had a whole game with two other quarterbacks and his offense still sucked. I would love for the Rees fanboys to please give me a logical explanation of

The two other quarterbacks had even less time to throw the ball than Milroe had against Texas. That shouldn't have happened against USF. Two possible reasons come to mind, the first is that Texas exposed our vulnerabilities on the OL, and we didn't get them fixed (we never totally did, in fact). The other, that I hate to consider, is that a portion of the team wanted Milroe at QB, and didn't give a full effort against USF. Another contributor to the poor showing is that neither Buchner or Simpson had enough practice reps to build timing with the receivers, Milroe had gotten the bulk of the Fall Camp snaps. Yet another reason is that Saban, in my opinion, treated the USF game as basically a scrimmage. We spent more effort trying to work on the passing game, which was an exercise in futility, than taking what was available.

I hope someone beats him out, but we all know it's not possible even if Tua came back to use his last year of eligibility Milroe is Sabans guy now no matter the frick what. Tua would be handing out Gatorade and holding a clipboard.

Yes. We have certainly met our intellectual superior.

While there is nothing factually incorrect in our posts, I will remind everyone that opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one.

Buckner is not a good QB and like Milroe, Simpson hadn’t been developed by BoB.

Absolutely. But, when all is said and done, that's on Nick. Get on the headset and say, "Tommy, we're running the fricking ball this series."

Listen window-licker,

that OL moved the ball when we decided to run, and in pass protection they were literally protecting for longer than any OL in the country.

The OL was actually pretty good. Milroe held the ball longer than any QB in the league.

The philly Eagles OL couldnt keep Milroe protected for 8 seconds

Huh?

The Rose Bowl?

They were in Milroe's grill in less than 2 seconds on all those sacks.

Talking about the season in general.

As far as the playoff game goes what did everyone think the no.1 team and no.1 defense in the country was going to do, play patty-cake at the LOS ?

If Milroe can see the pressure and audible into something else he doesnt get sacked in 2 seconds. Bryce Young could do that as a true sophomore.

BTW he had at least 2 or 3 that were the same old dance around and lose 15 we saw all season. I really dont know why everyone is acting like theyre shocked. We barely beat Auburn. Lol

Did Rees not gameplan for maybe Michigan wanting to force Milroe into some quick decisions ?

Didnt look like it.

I agree with MySaban so I guess that makes me an idiot also. Alabama has the most knowledgeable football fan base in the country. The majority of posters agree with us. Is it possible to be knowledgeable and an idiot simultaneously?

I see this is gonna be Rees excuse like it was Bill O'Brien's..

Yet when Rees was at Notre Dame their offense was their problem.

Their fanbase celebrated when he left like we did when Golding left.

Not all their fans celebrated when he left, quite a few still supported him. If he was so terrible at ND, why did Brian Kelly try to bring him to LSU as OC when he was hired as the LSU head coach?

ETA: Not saying Rees has proven to be an elite OC yet, but the jury is still out. Bama's OL and QB issues made this season hard to evaluate him. Plus it was his first year under Saban. Next season we'll be able to tell better.
