I mean if Deion pays the most, then great. But CU’s o line makes ours look like All Pros.
And LSU is breaking in a new QB

We had agreed with them in financial terms as of last month. Unclear if the family came back (again) with more but yes there were issues in the locker room, to the point that Jaxson Dart went to Kiffin about benching Judkins during the Peach Bowl.
OM is going to be in the hunt to get to ATL next year and their talented, starting RB is entering the portal. That is insane to me and I like to think I've come to accept what CFB is these days with the portal and NIL.
I understand a RB wanting to get paid when he can, NFL or CFB. But the way it is handled is bullshite. Have a dedicated "negotiation period" assigned by the NCAA or conference before a player can start shopping around, similar to the way RFA's are in MLB.
A starting QB telling the HC to bench a talented RB is bullshite, if this actually happened. It is inmates running the prison kind of shite if true, and that is taking into account account that Dart appears to be a stand up guy and good leader on the team. That is a coach's call, not a QB's call even if that QB is a cross of Steve Young and Audie Murphy, which Dart isn't.
I don't like what college football has become, and I'm just glad I got to see UGA win 2 titles in my life. I don't give a frick anymore about 18-22 year olds, especially when I couldn't look for a better "NIL deal" from a different branch of service when I was enlisted at that age.
"Oh, you signed with Army when the USAF has better facilities and better ed benefits? Tough fricking shite. Get your arse to the HMMWV roll-over trainer and out of my office."

The feeling is we're likely to get Heard our of LSU who can play either Tackle and would likely compete day 1 for a starting job.

What a world man.

Isn’t it his responsibility to make the money from his NIL?

Lane does normally have a regular train coming in his portal, but every now and then something has to leave his portal, too.

Isn't it wild that only a few years ago we gave each other shite about how much people cheated and paid under the table to steal a recruit from our school, while the receiving school denied it....and now we're talking, openly, about how negotiations for money are going at our respective schools

The HC or anyone on the coaching staff should have been able to see that then.

I long for the good old days of giving a family member a no-show job, a gym bag full of cash showing up in a locker, or a new Trans Am or Charger in their brother's name.

I'm hearing Micah Pettus and Judkins absolutely hate each other. They were always butting heads at practice and in the locker room.

Pettus showed up at the grove collective event and stayed for hours. Judkins showed up for 5 minutes.

I can't remember the guys name but we paid one of our tight ends like $500 to haul and spread some bags of mulch and fertilizer when we had to landscape our house back in the Nutt years.

Damn never knew he was like this. Seemed like a good dude. Did last year go to his head or is it just ignorance?

I met Micah Pettus at Chik Fil A a few weeks ago. He is injured and was on a scooter. I helped him grab his food from the pickup table. He offered to buy my breakfast. I told him just get well soon. Very polite young man.

I think it definitely went to his head....but I have a hard time blaming him for it. This is what happens when you give 18 year olds not only fame, but fortune. Doesn't matter if it's sports or Hollywood. The young mind just doesn't know how to handle that sort of thing. Not to mention you likely have several "friends and family" trying to take advantage of his situation.

I don’t disagree that he’s not wrong for playing the system because it’s literally available for him to do so. I could see it going to his head too, it’s also not shocking that a top player would be an arse to others, however it’s going to destroy programs. Good thing for both to move on honestly.

Honestly, I'm glad to see him go. Got tired of seeing him get so much playing time. Bentley outplayed him averaging almost 6 yds per carry as opposed to Judkins' just over 4 yards per carry. Judkins basically had the same number of carries this year as last year, on a better team, and got about 400 fewer yards on the season.
He's simply not what he was last season. The money can best be spent elsewhere.
