This distinction has to be made from here on out. Tennessee , by right of SEC seniority, is UT.

How about we settle it on the field? Winner of the first meeting takes all.

Since they’re both known as UT nationally, maybe Vols and “Horns Down” could work.
They’ll get mixed up regardless, it’s inevitable.

Really nice of both schools to appoint you to be the arbiter in the dispute that affects you not at all...

For the record, I prefer Texas but no matter how many times this topic gets discussed, some will call Texas UT and some will call Tennessee UT..
Carry on..
2005 > 1998

The easiest way would be to call Texas TU.
UT - Tennessee
TU - Texas
UT - Tennessee
TU - Texas

This makes the most sense.

Deal.
BTW...the first meeting was 01/01/1951 and Tennessee won 20-14. So, as the winner of the first meeting, Tennessee will be referred to as UT and Texas will be UTerus.

Tennessee=UTe
If we have to suffer that suffix then so should they.

Yeah...but that would be confusing...since both Texas and Tennessee start with Te. That isn't the case with South Carolina and USCe.
