That Missouri Cotton Bowl win was perfection!

Great defense, minimal mistakes, plenty of emotion, never wavered. I had a blast watching the whole game. It reminded me of watching OU in the 2001 Orange Bowl where there were moments of offense with a great deal of defense. I hope OU gets back to that kind of football soon.
Whatever beef there is between OU and Mizzou based on recent events is one thing. But hopefully some of my fellow Sooners can appreciate what a complete game Missouri put on last night. It was nice seeing the Tigers keep after it despite no points going into the fourth. Oh, and how nice it was to see a team PLAY DEFENSE and NOT TURN THE BALL OVER!
Congrats Tigers on a huge win for the program going forward.

Anytime OSU loses it’s a good day.

Couldn't believe Schrader didn't get the offensive MVP. I like Brady Cook and he played his arse off but the team was on Schrader's shoulders in the 4th.

They got the MVP right. Cook doesn’t strike me as athletic, but he laid it on the line all night long.
When your qb plays harder than the OSU OL, give him the game ball.

Exactly. He took a beating and kept coming back for more. And when it counted he delivered some dimes. Tough as hell kid.

Glad that Ohio State lost. The first half was very sub par. Mizzou has a very good defense but I was expecting a lot out of Mizzou on offense but the 4th quarter was great. Congrats Mizzou! Mizzou stepped up.

I saw some film this morning and Mizzou's DL was walking through Ohio State's OL like they were tissue paper. I'm sure most of those linemen were 4 and 5 stars, but they got destroyed even when we weren't sending extra men.
That's got nothing to do with Marvin Harrison and back-up quarterbacks. Great win for the program.

I was a little surprised at first too, but then remembered the key qb runs for 1st downs and the perfect sideline pass that he made and think they got it right.
Both played their asses off and It really could have gone either way.

I’m not trying to be that guy, but the first 3 quarters of that game made me never want to watch football again.
Not sure what y’all watched but that was not good football.

Talk about tough.
"It took guts. Darius Robinson was hurting from a groin injury. Kris Abrams-Draine suffered a separate shoulder and was told to leave the game, only for him to respond as such: "He said, the hell I am. Put his stuff on. Ran back out there and played unbelievably tough," Drinkwitz said. "

For not trying to be 'that guy' you did a pretty good job of it. FINALLY, amidst all of the goofballs that are starting all of these negative threads towards Mizzou, someone finally starts an adult thread for what few sensible, decent posters that are on this forum to congratulate them. It was a solid win. Not sexy, but old school smash mouth against the Suckeyes. I'll raise a glass to em on this one.

Fair enough. I’ll bow out gracefully

This is my favorite Mizzou win other than the 1975 beating of Alabama in Birmingham by QB Steve Pisarkiawicz who led a Mizzou team that would finish the season with a 6-5 record to a 20-7 win. It was the start of a promising season that fizzled with an unimpressive loss to Kansas.

It was grown man football.

Two heavyweights blocking and clinching for 3 rounds. Then someone gets an opening, body shot, headshot, down goes Fraizer.

First half brought back memories of SEC football in bygone days of defense, defense.
Impressive win by Missouri.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Mizzou has everything but the location in terms of being "SEC" enough.

Exactly. When you have to play the backup and he’s not proven, you lean on the run game. They rushed for a whole 103 last night between 4 or 5 guys. They had their starting RB playing and he didn’t crack 70 yards. And we were missing 3 defensive starters to injuries. Their excuses fall flat to me.
