Watching the 2012 SEC championship game in Paty with my roommate who was a Georgia fan. He was talking so much shite and when AJ thru that pass to Coop he got mad and went in the room with his Girlfriend while I went on the quad and celebrated with everyone

It's either Rocky Block, or the 2012 screen to yeldon in death valley. There are others that are up there, like the 2012 SECCG, 2018 SECCG, 2011 BCSNC, 29-0 in death valley, OT game in death valley in 2008, 36-0.

But Rocky Block and screen to Yeldon just can't be topped for me.

eta: *Based off games I attended

the blocked field goal at penn st. my best friend was sitting on the edge of the couch beside me. of course everybody in the room went nuts on the block. however, my buddy jumped clean over the coffee table in celebration. he died several years ago. i will never forget his joy that day. his wife was glad he didnt break the coffee table, lol.

In person: DT dismantling penn state in Birmingham when I was a kid. Never seen a single player dominate a game completely the way he did that day.
On tv: Langhams INT against auburn.
frick Dye and auburn.

Honorable mention: The Play That Never Happened. Teagues strip of Thomas.

Goal line stand
Teague
2nd and 26

Was in high school for the first one. I just knew there was no way we were losing to Penn State.

Teague was great because all of my friends growing up were big time Cane fans.

2nd and 26 caused a 53 yr old man to run around the living room screaming like a girl - and I'm not embarrassed one damned bit to admit it.

Very first game I ever attended was in 1986. We played Temple. They had a Heisman candidate named Paul Palmer and, of course, we had our own Heisman candidate in Bobby Humphrey.
Paul Palmer had big game but wasn't enough to get the upset.
We sat about 20 rows up from the field and I could walk down close enough to see all my favorite players. To a 12 year old boy, they were all heros and larger than life.

The 36-0 beat down of little brother in ‘08….came home on mid-tour from an Iraq deployment…hadn’t beat them in several years. My wife surprised me with tickets…so much fun and may have been the loudest crowd I’ve ever heard!!

Too many to recall, but I'd like to remind you of a couple of moments that have meant a lot to me as a young boy with his father... and something I heard later which still does.

- In a Sugar Bowl game against Penn State, with about 3 minutes left in the first half, Alabama was driving. The Tide was moving the ball with the Wishbone offense, but once inside the 20 the Penn State defense tightened up and Alabama’s coaches called for a pass. State tackle Rich Milot pressured Tide quarterback Jeff Rutledge and he rushed his throw. The receiver tipped the ball up and it was intercepted. The Nittany Lion player broke through the Alabama line and was headed for the goal line, but Ogilvie came from the other side of the field, ran him down and made an open-field tackle, preventing a touchdown.

Watching Major run on an almost 45 degree angle and still catch the Penn State player on the Bama 40 was jaw-dropping. The defense would take them out of scoring on that turnover. youtube.com

- With minutes left in the game, it was fourth and goal from the one-foot line with a national championship on the line. Penn State chose to power it in, but Alabama would have none of it. Again, Alabama surged backward through the Penn State line, and Guman was hit in the hole by Barry Krauss and Murray Legg, where he was stopped dead in his tracks. The Alabama defense had held after a thunderous collision just short of the goal line. Krauss, the man who delivered the brunt of the hit, was knocked unconscious and temporarily lost feeling in his extremities, but he would get up and run off the field under his own power.(shown at 3:36 of the clip above).

- And finally, something Ogilvie would speak of years later. He said it was not unusual for Coach Bryant to read a poem to his team. He closed a speech by reading one of those poems Bryant had used, one that the coach had printed on a card and kept in his wallet. It reads as follows:

“This is the beginning of a new day.

“God has given me this day to use as I will.

“I can waste it or use it for good.

“What I do today is very important because I am exchanging a day of my life for it.

“When tomorrow comes, this day will be gone forever, leaving something in its place I have traded for it.

“I want it to be a gain, not loss — good, not evil.

“Success, not failure in order that I shall not forget the price I paid for it.”

I was there. Was incredible. Especially considering his journey of injury.

Been on this Earth for 53 years, so I have experienced some good ones! Our Goalline Stand against Penn State got it started for me! Van Tiffin’s 52 yard FG to beat the Barn in ‘85! Biscuit breaking Buerlien in half in ‘86! George Teague stripping Lamar Thomas! Rocky Block in ‘09! Julio taking the screen pass against the Corndogs in ‘09! Kenyan Drakes kick return against Clemson! A LOT of good ones!!

The LSU game in 07. It was just my dad and I at the game. It was one of the best crowds I had been apart of up to that point. When Javier ran the punt back everyone went wild. I haven’t been back to a game with just my dad since.

Little less accolades I guess but one of my best memories was the Bama come from behind win against UGA in ‘94… Bama had trailed all the game and was down 28-19 in 4th qtr against Eric Zeier. UGA fans had been giving us the “it’s great, to be , a Georgia Bulldog” shite the entire game . Stadium concourses were so loud leaving with Bama fans mocking them with the “ it’s great to be from Alabama “ all the way out of the stadium …. Good times
