I think they could.

Texas is not who should be cut for Georgia under the "four best" model. It's Michigan or Washington.

At this point I believe this is the correct answer.

Nobody knows since this hypothetical game will never be played, but I'll say this: I feel like Georgia would be a more favorable matchup for us than Washington. That's not to say we won't beat Washington, just saying.

Texas beat an Alabama team who had a first time starter Milroe who was still learning. No way Texas beats that quarterback now. Alabama improved that much. And Ga and Ala or pretty much equal.

Yes, from what I have seen, Texas has a better front 7 and an equally good OL.
And without a healthy Bowers and McConkey and Mims, I would pick Texas by a TD or more.

Why is everyone under the impression Bama has progressed while we have stagnated? Yes, Quinn got injured and we had to squeak by a few opponents with our backup QB and it took him a while to get things going coming back from injury..but like Milroe he has also gotten better and was always the better passer. We also had issues on defense with injuries throughout the meat of the season, but got healthy enough to dominate our last 3 opponents and should be near full strength for the semi-final. I expect Bama to beat meatchicken, but if we beat Washington and get out of that game without losing any key players...I wouldn't bet against us, at least not with real currency.

Michigan is the one that doesn't belong. The playoff will prove it.

Top four should be:

1. Washington
2. Texas
3. Bama
4. Georgia

They were right putting Bama in. Leaving Georgia out was a mistake. Look at what they determine the 4 best teams. Bama led almost all of those categories. Georgia was not far behind.
Michigan
Bama
Georgia
Texas

Not in that order but that was 4 best teams based on the criteria given.

I’d actually pick Texas to win. They have a lot more playmakers on offense, and their defense is good enough. Would be a really good game though. That being said, I’d pick Georgia to win easily over both Washington and Michigan
