in UGA Bama game was reviewed. That is such BS response from the SEC to save face. There was no reason not to stop play and review it on field even if you decided not to overturn it.
The loss to Alabama did not occur without controversy. Toward the end of the first half, the Crimson Tide converted a fourth down when quarterback Jalen Milroe appeared to complete a pass to wide receiver Isaiah Bond for a first down. However, a replay clearly showed that the ball hit the ground and was not caught, and Bulldogs fans were irate that the game was not stopped to review the play, especially considering that Alabama scored a touchdown just a few moments later.
Now, the SEC has claimed that the play actually was reviewed by the replay official, per Chip Towers of the AJC. This of course raises the question of how the officials missed a call that appeared so obviously incomplete upon review.

Because his knee was down first with full control of the ball, before going to the ground. Play over.

Empirical evidence has shown that the replay officials are no better than the onfield officials and are perhaps biased.

Ive been asking this for 15 years. Hell I beg you people to do it every year and you never do. Every Spring in Destin the SEC ADs meet and vote on everything. There will be 15 ADs not from Alabama at the meeting. They can vote to replace the entire SEC officiating staff, move the HQ from Birmingham, sanction Alabama for paying off refs, change the SEC schedule. So I am asking once again, PLEASE contact your AD and have them implement these changes. Every AD has an email address that is public

It makes me so happy that LSU fans are more rustled by the SEC championship officiating than the Georgia fans.

Yeah, that’s not what happened. Watch the replay full speed instead of looking at still shots. He retained clear possession through the catch.

It was not clear, it was most certainly reviewable and could have been overturned based on the ball's movement. It could have also been upheld as control was established and maintained.

Hey Georgia.
You don't have to do any bitching at all about that game and it's officiating. You've got these persecuted, whitebooted coonasses to do it for you.
They'll take the hit.

Don’t you cornies have a participation trophy bowl to prepare for. Enjoy the juice boxes and apple slices at halftime.

I’ve got a better solution. For every Alabama game the officials should review every single play both on the field and in the booth so that the entire state of Louisiana doesn’t turn into a pit of melted wax after every Alabama win.

I agree that it's a constant issue.
Officials are people, and they're going to get some calls wrong. It's just going to happen. I think what people want (or at least what I want) is consistency.
The Alabama "catch" in the championship game is a perfect example. Think of how many relatively inconsequential plays during the season get reviewed frame-by-frame like we're picking apart the Zapruder film. In the title game, anything that's close should get at least that level of scrutiny rather than a windshield inspection by the booth official.
I'm not invested in the outcome of that review, but when you consider all of the other stuff that we review during a season, it's pretty clear that deserved a closer look.

I doubt that the on field call would have been overturned but there is no excuse for not stopping for an official review. I think the game wasn't stopped because officials were afraid that the pass was incomplete.
The illegal procedure call on the UGA field goal attempt was bullshite.

Just stop. Milroe was sacked and his knee never touched and he would have ran in for a score. The Dome went nuts when we Bama fans saw the replay, the Bama sideline went nuts, even the 2 UGA fans sitting next to me laughed when they saw the replay and said I don't know how the refs thought he was down.
How do you feel about this one not being reviewed?
