It’s literally written into the criteria that all the conferences, and therefore the school presidents and ADs agreed on.
So I guess keep the best players on the bench as much as possible so they don’t get injured, miss the playoffs, and negatively impact their NFL draft status and college awards?

Michigan is just upset that they have to play a real game rather than the bye week they were hoping for.
Nailed it. Funny the 4 biggest pro FSU, butt hurt fan bases on the rant are;
FSU fans - deservedly so
Auburn fans - understandable
LSU fans - Bama envy
Michigan fans - would much rather avoid an SEC team in playoffs.
I believe most of the rest of us fans just want to see the best 4 teams in the playoffs.
Another shocker to the FSU reality, if there was another spot open, the committee would have taken Georgia ahead of FSU. At best, FSU is the 6th best team in the country and without Travis, probably not that high.

Go for it.
All I’m saying is, all parties agreed to it being in the rules. So I don’t get why people are so shocked by it being a consideration now. I don’t really like it, and hate it for Travis most of all, but it’s part of the criteria all voted on and agreed to.

Does anyone believe an undefeated Alabama with a 2nd string QB (and a great playing defense) would be left out?
I take it you’ve never seen our backup quarterbacks play.

Yeah, if we were trotting Ty Simpson or Buchner out there we should have 100% been left out.

Frankly I think this outrage has more to do with Alabama hatred than concern for FSU.
And a certain cheating b1g School that is scared to death of an SEC team in round one.

Bingo. Switch Bama with a one loss team from another conference and this board doesn’t look like this the last 24 hours.

You wouldn’t have been. We’d hear justification for Saban’s vaunted defense and how talented guys like Burton and Bond would elevate the inexperienced play of the backup.
Yes, there’s plenty of frustration because it’s Alabama but this is more about the hypocrisy of the committee. It’s an issue that has plagued CFB for its entire history. The C stands for corruption. It’s Corruption Football.

Then this is really troubling.
The committee’s number one criteria is to maximize profits.

You are correct sir. Their ire should be aimed at you though. If Georgia would have won, the Longhorns would have been the #4 team, no doubt. Y'all took FSU's spot, not Bama.

I mean it's possible but I think that we would have been left out had Georgia won. They would have just matched up Texas and Alabama in a new year six bowl game.
We will never know but that's just what I believe.

If they watched the two qb's against USF then there wouldn't be anything that Saban could say that would justify it. Nothing. And if you watched the end of the FSU-Louisville game, FSU went to wildcat to try a seal the game because their qb was terrible. Do you think they could beat any team in the top 6-8 without the threat of throwing the football?

NO THEY DIDN'T
they based it on the drop in the team's performance due to the injury. any idiot that has watched FSU football the past 3 weeks knows they are not the same caliber team they were before Travis got hurt. PERIOD.
GET

fricking this.
None of these fans give a shite about FSU they just hate Alabama and won't admit it. Alabama is a better team than FSU right now and if people could look at it objectively they would see that. It's not like they just arbitrarily picked Alabama so they could screw FSU. Alabama is a conference champion just like FSU is and frankly a much better team right now.

Looked pretty good beating your team's sorry arse at home with a backup qb.

It’s football, injuries happen

PS- I'm sensing the aroma of fear coming from your post...anything to it?
