After a full season of all-capacity crowds, Tennessee finished fourth nationally and first in the SEC with an average attendance of 101,915.
LSU finished second at 100,742, followed by Alabama at 100,077, Texas A&M at 100,077 and Georgia at 92,746.

This is what makes the SEC the greatest conference. The fans.

Much like the concept that stadiums with larger seating capacity end up with….wait for it….more people in attendance.

Tennessee still would have led the SEC if 2024 league newcomers Texas and Oklahoma were included in the 2023 figures. Texas averaged 101,625 fans this season, which fourth nationally and would have been second only to Tennessee in the SEC. Oklahoma averaged 83,741 this season, which was 13th nationally and would have been ninth in the SEC (including Texas).

That's a lot of girth to pack into those little seats.

Imagine if they were actually good at football

I hate UT but I used to tell people during their dark days that UT football wasn't dead. Playing them every year you saw the passion was like it always was and it is for everyone. I have literally traveled to every part of this country and there is nowhere like the southeast during football season. The players and coaches are great but the energy from the fans is what seperates us from the others.

Alabama and A&M averaging the exact same amount of seats is wack...

Well, what else is there to do in Tennessee besides drink moonshine, watch Hee Haw reruns, and bang their sisters?
So sure the games will be attended. It is the largest crowd of fans with the fewest teeth!

That's first quarter numbers. By the time the 4th rolls around Bama leads by about 60k.
