I’d say State, rumors are Briles will link up with his brother in law.

Some dude on Miss State's 247 board who used to post on Ark 247 board too is close family friends to the Briles said the other day that he did not believe Kendall would join the staff there for a couple of reasons.

1) - better to spread out coaching opportunities for the family than getting everyone in one place

And

2) Didn't want work to ruin a good relationship. Apparenlty Lebby and KB are essentially best friends and talk every day. Working on the same staff in a boss/subordinate situation would put that at risk and they know that.

I would be shocked if KB joins, but if it's the only gig he can get, he would probably have to take it. Seems like everyone in Texas hates him.

KJs chance of playing TE in the NFL is 0%.

I don’t think playing TE in the league is at 0, but I know playing QB is. I honestly think the best decision he could make is staying, move to TE, and play that role in the BP scheme. If he took it seriously, I believe he could find his way into the league.

I’ve tried to not bang on KJ, but I’ve come to the conclusion he’s not a professional/grinder. I just believe he leans heavy on his God given athleticism and not try to perfect his craft as a QB. This may be a stupid take, but I also don’t think his diet is disciplined. I’ve never thought he looked fit as an athlete, outside his 1st year or two on the team.

He thought he was, to use a country phrase "cutting a fat hog in the arse." Meaning in the old days a nice big fat hog not only gave you a lot of meat, but a lot of lard you could use for cooking.

Instead KB got to TCU just in time for the program to collapse and became the most hated man in Texas. Not a good thing for a guy whose life goal has always been to coach a major Texas university team.

He had a good thing going here at Arkansas, his family absolutely adored the area, and he pissed it away. Briles has no one to blame but himself.

An undersized and unathletic (relative to NFL TEs) player who is switching positions isn’t getting a look at the next level.

I agree with you in his current state. I believe he could, but lacks the discipline and drive to do so.

No way in hell he could beat out Washington or Hasz for PT.... Not even close.

Both those guys are far more explosive that KJ off the line.

KJ is a truck, yes, when he gets going, but he is not that quick in short space like a TE needs to be to run those possession routes. Bobby also uses a ton of crossers and rubs. I Don think KJ has the first idea how to block or get open on a pick play.

He's be 3rd String TE at best.

I don’t, half the fans will want him in at QB if we have even a slight hiccup.

I have said the same the last 3 years. Except the diet part, but isn’t everyone’s diets off until they get to the league? Or is that all gone with the professional nutrition and weight lifting centers?

He is 2 inches shorter and weighs the same as Kelce/Kittle.

KJ is already lighter than the average college TE. If he needed to lose weight to increase his weak athleticism he would be even smaller.

Bottom line is KJ is too short and not twitchy enough to play TE. Nothing he does can change his genetics.

KJ will probably measure in at 6025 at the combine which would have him around the 5th or 6th shortest TE in the NFL.

An offensive loss that would hurt actually narrows it down quite a bit, honestly.

If Hasz is back then it's gotta be one of the WRs or maybe Augustave? Idk who else would be classified as a loss that would hurt.

I wonder if he could fit into the league as a hybrid type position like Taysom Hill for the Saints. Same height, KJ 20lbs heavier, but could honestly lose 20lbs and would gain athleticism. Although there's probably not enough demand in the league for another Taysom Hill.
