In my life I have missed one. Bama vs Florida in 2016 I believe it was. I went to the first two in Birmingham and back then they wanted you to get on auto renewal so we did and we just get tickets every year automatically charged to us and if Bama isn’t playing we sell them.
I liked the old Ga done much better but hey. I think this will be my 14th or so trip. Can’t remember exactly. Been so many??
That's really cool! Enjoy the game (except I hope we win, though!). :)

Got 4 on the east side, club level at about the 35 yard line. Section allows alcohol sells. May or may not be in attendance depending on how much the price goes up between now and Friday. Doubt they will be as much as 2021 but fully expect them to be worth more than last year. If they get to 80% of 2021 they gone for certain...have been to many SEC CGs, at this point like money more than attending games in person.

That stuff goes on in rural areas, too.

To be fair, that sentiment applies to about half the Georgia fanbase as well. A chunk of the biggest Atlanta haters on this board are Georgia people.
No doubt...rural Georgians are not immune from the mass hysteria that many in rural America suffer from when it comes to being terrified of their own shadows. I know a BUNCH of folks who grew up, if not IN Atlanta, in Metro Atlanta who are absolutely convinced that anyone going east of Covington, north of Griffin, west of Douglasville or south of Cartersville is certain to meet with a violent and untimely death. Never mind that overall crime in Atlanta just isn't that bad statistically and is nearly non-existent in the area around dome on weekends when events are taking place. You can't sling a dead cat in the entire downtown, midtown or uptown areas on the week of the SEC Championship or any event of any size without hitting a cop. Now, if you want to go over to the west end and buy some crack or pick up a hooker on Stewart Avenue then yeah, you might find yourself in an exciting situation...but if you merely in town for the game and you are walking to a restaurant and have had a few drinks you are about as safe as you can be in the US...but facts never matter when emotions are at play.

There is literally no reason to stay or even visit downtown Atlanta. Much more to see and do in Midtown, West Midtown, Eastside Beltline, or even Buckhead.

quote:As far as I know and not all of the club level, only from about the 25 yard lines on the actual club (street) level. It was that way last year and has been every year so I doubt it has changed. If you know someone in that area who is willing to do it they can bring it out of that area but you probably would not be allowed to sit in an area where it wasn't being sold. Our section has alcohol and seat service and it is GREAT.
Had a banker offer to upgrade my seats to club level. Took him up on the offer because in years past those are the only sections where you can get alcohol. Can anyone confirm if that is still the case?

Uh Atlanta is a shite hole. WTF are you talking about?
Atlanta is no more a shithole than Dallas or Houston. The real shitholes in the south are New Orleans, Jacksonville and Memphis.

Here they come, saddled with their irrational fears and sweating over the idea of leaving whatever rural area they hail from and going anywhere near the mean streets of Atlanta, Georgia on the day of a HUGE event LOL. Bless their hearts...
We're used to it. Alabama has played in the Georgia Dome and Mercedes-Benz about as many times as Georgia if not more.

Oddly enough the crime stats in the Galleria area of Atlanta are worse than those around Vine City and the Omni in Downtown...and have been for many years. The reason is simple, people do not live in the Vine City / Omni area...wonder a little bit east of Vine City and all bets are off and make no mistake but from Little 5 points to Vine City is about as crime free an area as you can get in a major city. If there is not an event going on and its past 6 PM you would almost think you are in some sort of dystopian future from the lack of people in the area. Smyrna, on the other hand, and particularly the area around Cumberland and the Galleria, is the most crime ridden part of Cobb County and it ain't close...and has been for about 30 or so years. It is perfectly safe when the braves are in town and the immediate area around the Battery is safe any time because there is a massive police presence...but the stats indicate the area is less safe than the downtown area. Far safer than Summerhill was though, where Atlanta Fulton County and Turner Field was/is....

Of course! Who could forget the famous The Varsity in downtown Atlanta! Love that place, especially their onion rings!! The best I've ever had.
The Varsity -- World's Largest Drive-In
Phipps Plaza/Lenox Square in Buckhead...Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, Neiman-Marcus, Bloomingdale's, Chanel -- sorry, no Walmarts here!
